Which cloud paint?

The glossier cloud paint always looks gorgeous on the ads. I've bought two now and they look awful on me! I went for the pink one called Puff which just looks too candy floss like and a orangey one which is just totally wrong. What am I doing wrong?! I have pale skin and light brown hair with green eyes. Everyone raves about it and I really want to like it!

I've got dusk which I think suits most skin tones.
I only use a tiny tiny bit then add more as required

How are you applying? I like mine (Dusk) but it's easy to apply badly.

I prefer a damp sponge as I can be heavy-handed and that stops me! I do prefer my Daniel Sandler Watercolour Blush in Gentle though, the colour is slightly deeper and they go on sooooo well. You can get samples too.
