Hair cut for when you don't have much hair!

My hair is thinning rapidly and I have a very high forehead. I can't have a fringe as I just don't have enough hair for it! Has anyone been in the same situation and got a very short hair cut? Would I look more or less like an egg?

My hair looks thicker short but now is a difficult time to embark on a pixie cut for obvious reasons.
My hair is also too thin for a fringe but when short I always style it forward so there is a lot more weight at the front than there would be with a fringe on it’s own. If you look at some pictures of pixie cuts you will see what I mean.
