If you have sensitive skin, which deodorant/shower gel/laundry detergent do you use?

I think it could be fragrance irritating my skin, annoyingly 99% of my toiletries and household products contain fragrance😩 I have a lot to replace!

My skin is wildly sensitive! Everyone will be different, annoyingly, but these are the products it has taken me years to find...

Deodorant: Sanex Sensitive (peach cap)
Shower Gel: Child’s Farm Unfragranced Baby Wash (also use as shampoo)
Laundry Detergent: Fairy Non-Bio powder

Also Eucerin Aqua Porin Active Dry Skin as a face moisturiser and Child’s Farm Unfragranced Mousturiser as body lotion.

@AliCanTea oh amazing, thank you very much for your list Smile excited to check these out - you’ve saved me from lots of trial and error!

@sofiaaaaaa No problem - I should add that the Sanex (it’s ‘Dermo’ Sensitive, now that I look at it) does have some fragrance, but it doesn’t bother my skin at all (and I’m super reactive to fragrance). I think Sanex also do a totally unfragranced one. Good luck!

When my youngest DS's eczema flares up I wash his clothes and bedding in Surcare. I think most supermarkets stock it now.

@AliCanTea thanks for letting me know! Luckily it’s still suitable as it doesn’t have bloody limonene (which is everywhere!)

@frugalkitty brilliant, thank you Smile it’s nice that supermarkets stock it. Was worried I’d have to use specialist online retailers

@sofiaaaaaa Aha, if it’s limonene (it is for me too) then you may be able to use Montalbano solid shampoo from Lush Smile I can also use their washcards. Literally the only things I can use to smell nice!

Cerave is good

FlyingByTheSeatof · 18/01/2021 23:40

Yes Sanex is great for the shower as is Ariel liquid detergent for clothes.

sofiaaaaaa · 19/01/2021 00:11

@AliCanTea Thanks ever so much - you’re the gift that keeps on giving! Limonene is hard to avoid, isn’t it?? Glad to hear that shopping at Lush is not off limits!

@Gingangoolee @FlyingByTheSeatof great, thank you both for the tips!!

The sanex 0% transparent one has no fragrance and great for sensitive skin.

For deodorant I started using bionsen sensitive (it's not an anti perspirant but at least I don't ping!).

I use the simple range for cleaning and moisturising (has one with spf too), no fragrance. E45 for body, they also do a shampoo, actually so does Simple but I haven't tried it. Bare minerals original for foundation (lasts ages too).
