Eye palette help for clumsy novice

Hi! I’m a complete dud at doing makeup but love it when it’s done for me (rarely) and as there isn’t much going on I thought it’s a good time to practice. I’m also dieting for fertility issues/ivf referral so life is a bit depressing at the moment and I’m going to treat myself to a lovely new palette. I’m fair skinned with grey eyes and I like the ‘English rose’ look with pink eyeshadow. I’m torn between Charlotte tilbury instant eye palette or naked 3. Naked 3 seems like it would have more versatility but instant eye is so pretty! How to choose?!

Also, if anyone has any tips or YouTube tutorials they recommend it would be great- I’ve watched quite a few but many are the smokier darker look than I prefer. Thanks!

I have both and also fair with green eyes, I don’t rate Charlotte tilbury eyeshadow personally as much as I love their other items I was so disappointed in their eyeshadow palettes, naked palettes are amazing though!
Not sure about recommendations on YouTube as most of the people I watch prefer the heavy eye look, I watch one woman and she does some great looks with more pale eyeshadows, her channel is shaaaanxo.

Thanks so much- I was leaning towards the naked palette and this seals it for me. I’ve had a look at those YouTube videos and will be useful- then I got sucked into looking at her lipstick declutter video for half an hour😂

Look at Lisa Eldridge on YouTube. She’s great and very easy to follow.

Here’s an example of one of her “Smokey eyes” tutorials, but have a search through her hundreds of videos to find the look you are after

Easily done, I’ve spent many hours watching those, and her PO Box unboxings!

You Tube.... you could google your ‘almond eyes make tutorial’ or look up Lisa Eldridge as mentioned above. I also like Caroline Barnes and Wayne Goss.

I've green/grey eyes and posted for something very similar a few weeks back. I was recommended naked 3 amongst others; but having used UD before and knowing the quality of the shadows; I purchased. I've only used for daytime make up (for obvious reasons!) but am really delighted with it. The colours are beautiful, a good mix of matt pinks, some darker bronze/ gold/ browns and a few shimmery/ sparkle shades too. It works really well with my colouring too, cool toned pale blonde. You won't be disappointed!

She has some other videos but this is excellent

Thanks so much for all the help, I’ve ordered the naked palette and am eagerly awaiting it- and one or two brushes as well. I’ve watched lots of YouTube videos- it’s so addictive seeing what people can do although their make up stashes are enormous 😮. Whole drawers full of lipsticks!
