Black jeans for the massive of thigh

I need black jeans for work. Cheap, basic jeans as I work in an SEN school so no fancy detailing, but black trousers (my usual go to) aren't working in terms of protection and movement.

I'm a size 16 (although I'm not precious about it, I work to what fits, not what's on the label!) and I'm short - petite leg length. However, I'm massive thighed and I cannot find anything in supermarkets - boot cut makes me look like a clown, skinny doesn't make it past my knees and straight seem to adhere to my legs and I look like sausages.

Help! I don't want to pay massive amounts, but happy to go up to £35-40 for decent quality.

Asda do wonder fit, super stretch jeans, they are so comfy, £20 only unless you are looking for a brand.

I wear these to work and am also generous of thigh. They're very good.

No, couldn't care less about brands, but I find that stretch jeans are clingy and that's what is giving me the sausage look. It's not flattering. Sad

I have an older pair which are straight legged, with a bit of something to give them softness but which aren't stretchy?

I've found that "girlfriend" or even "mom" fit well on the thighs.

H&M do a black "mom" that works and as they are cut to be ankle length they are the right length on my short legs.

Quite high waisted though if that is a problem?

dalrympy · 14/01/2021 07:23

Sorry can't link but it's "slim mom high jeans" I'd say they come up reasonably small.

rookiemere · 14/01/2021 08:41

I've just bought Lily slim jeans from M&S at £19.50 and they are generously proportioned but not baggy. I have the indigo ones so not sure if black will be the same.

Topshop Jamie jeans are my go to

Packlunchhell · 14/01/2021 12:49

Next lift slim and shape £45 , the black colour doesn’t fade either after a few washes, so worth the money.

LooseMooseHoose · 14/01/2021 12:52

Lucy and Yak Camden or Addisons in black? I know they are more known for their brightly patterned dungarees, but their trousers are cut for those with proportionally larger hips/thighs so are great.

Blastandbollocks · 22/01/2021 07:16

Okay, so Topshop and Next didn't work. Lucy and Yak weren't my thing as too wide.

Any other ideas? I'm grasping at straws! And needing to lose weight but that's another story! Sad

Minimum 1% elastane, mid or high rise, mum or boyfriend or straight style. Don't discount dyeing them black. Also not sure if allowed but dark denim is very flattering. M&S have a good range?

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 22/01/2021 08:39

ASOS relaxed Mom jeans. Much bigger on the thighs than their slim Mom jeans! I have a petite pair that are the perfect length (I’m 5’2”).

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 22/01/2021 09:04

ASOS jeans

rookiemere · 22/01/2021 09:28

Did you try the M&S Lily jeans ?

buckleten · 22/01/2021 09:31

I second M&S, they have literally every style and cut, you will find something there!

TierFourTears · 22/01/2021 09:34

M&S straight - l have several different cuts depending on what is available when I need a pair - take my thighs, although they are snug fitting until my knees!
Siena wore through quite quickly, but I gave another pair, also starting with an S I think, and a slimming fit pair that all work.

New Look ‘ballon jeans’ are great. They are non-stretch and much better than their 3x the price Levi equivalents
