Skin care advice? Bad skin

I have that kind of skin that is never clear. I’ve reduced the cystic acne but my skin is never clear still, bumps, rough, red bits, uneven and tiny blackheads all over. Always been like this to some degree.

What are others doing that’s worked for them?

Weleda Aknedoron cleanser and spot liquid - THE BEST

The only acceptable amount of cystic is zero though, see your dr. They’ll start you on a topical/oral med. Agree a timescale to give it chance to work then request dermatology.

I had cystic acne and it scars.

Agree with previous poster. See your GP and push for a referral to a dermatologist. If it’s not possible at this time you could use an online dermatologist service like Dermatica or suchlike.

In the meantime try Cerave SA face wash which is for your skin type with a clean flannel daily which which will help with exfoliation. Follow that with a gentle serum / moisturiser. I recommend the very popular Superdrug hydrating serum in green and white.

Private online dermatologist, dermatica. Game changer! 1st month is free, then £20 per month or you can slow it down to every other month or quarterly or even suspend it, depending on your budget and what suits you.

Have a read of the skin care threads on here. I'll find the link for you.

I tried everything, accutane was the only thing that worked for me. If your acne is not that bad you would have to go private, costs about £2k but so so worth it. I don't even get blackheads now, my skin is completely clear.
