Where do you buy jewellery?

I am going to be 50 soon and would like some jewellery as I haven't had anything new for ages.

Budget is around £100 for a piece - would like a necklace.
My taste is usually something simple but pretty, no too main stream, no hearts or crosses. I like silver but thinking about something else for a change.

Sorry - that's a bit vague - any recommendations?

Clogau, we are Welsh and when we want nice jewellery we get it from their. The simpler stuff is lovely, I'm not a fan of the more intricate bits xx

I buy most of my jewelry from Etsy. Fair warning though, you can lose hours looking through listings!

Monica Vinader, Missoma, Astley Clarke, Etsy.

I get silver from Jewellery by ZM on Etsy, from local boutiques called Sugar Mango & Enigma & Skinny Wrists, from Essential Jewellers.

I like real gold but it's too pricey for me.

I like Gail Klevan It's her bracelets and cuffs I particularly like, but here are some of her necklaces.

I think these are both pretty and a bit different to the hearts and stars that are everywhere.

Coeur Lion have gorgeous bracelets and necklaces.

We have a local independent jewellers who design and make jewellery. I quite like getting things from there, as they are a little bit different. The last thing I had from there was a pendant necklace which was £70ish (but was a gift, so don't know the exact price). There might be something similar where you are. They have them in cities and some towns.

@Francescaisstressed funnily enough I’ve been looking at Clogau recently, they have some lovely things

Raera · 13/01/2021 17:48

Gavin Shelley in Durham. Makes jewellery himself, will also remodel old pieces and make things to your design. (And he's a nice chap!)

HerdyGerdy · 13/01/2021 18:18

Martha Jackson. Their stuff is beautiful.

There are a few Independent Jewellers near where I live so I usually get my Jewellery from them.

My DD 13 even bought me a gorgeous silver charm and chain from one of them with her pocket money and I love it and I know it wouldn't have cost much at all.

Lovely silver pieces.

Louise Wade is an independent London-based designer; her stuff is delicate but edgy with it. It's all made by her..
