What size bra do I need.

Was just about to post this when I saw another poster saying she was struggling to find a bra that fits, I have the exact opposite problem. So.... I currently have 2 bras that fit just OK but are comfortable, they are 36F lace full style underwired. Any other 36F does not fit, cup volume too small and underwire too big and wide and digs in underarm. On boob or bust I measure 32J. I ordered that size and the band is really tight but just about OK, however the cups are still huge. What size do I need. Been to Bravissimo got fitted for two bras, one is the one I'm wearing, and the other was a moulded one which was comfy for an hour and then I got big red marks under my armpits.

Not sure why you expect strangers on mumsnet to know what bra size you need...

Imtoooldforallthis · 12/01/2021 19:46

I see lots of posts suggesting sizes for people.

Try shortening the straps, I've just bought some new bras and I always loosened the straps, but I should have done the opposite

36F has the same cup volume as 32G, so if that's too small but 32J is too big in cup, I would order 32 band and several cups between G and J - start with bigger ones, as it's easier to see if a bra is too big than if it is a little too small. From websites that do free delivery and/or returns.

I have tried it yet but need to. A lot comment as the boob or busted method is great to measure

Not sure if this helps but bravissimo are doing zoom appointments. I did one this morning and the woman was really helpful.
You could get them to check the fit for you and explain the problem that you're having with the one that's leaving marks?

Why do some wires dig in under the arms?

Imtoooldforallthis · 13/01/2021 20:53

I wish I knew, I think I need volume outwards not sideways if that makes any sense. When I go up a cup size or two the wires get wider, when I don't need it there.
