Finally bought something from Toast. It went badly!

Toast has been coming up on my FB feed for ages. Lots of lovely stuff, but more than I would usually spend so I've only "window shopped" .
A few ago the add popped up again, and I decided to treat myself to a dress that was pretty pricey BUT had been reduced from nearly £200 so it felt like a bargain. I looked at the size guide and decided I was somewhere in-between 10-12, so would risk it and order a 10.
It arrived today. I don't have much of a waist so usually stuff is tight around my middle, but it's too loose around my waist. I don't think there's so much room that I'd fit an 8 (hahaha!!!) So, I decided it needed to go back. But you have to pay for returns!

I know this would have been in the order info. But I'm so used to places I buy from having a free return option. I didn't do much internet clothes shopping before lockdown (due to the wide waist odd shaped issue), so maybe I'm naive.

It didn't seem great quality either, tbh. I'm so disappointed!

If you paid using Paypal then you can claim the return postage back from them. I'm not sure of the number of return postage you can claim back from Paypal but I think its generous.

I paid on my debit card, unfortunately. Good to know for the future, though.

Is this section of the T&C any good?

If you return your entire order for a refund (or notify us of your intention to return it by emailing [email protected] or phoning our customer service team on +44 (0)333 400 5200 within 14 days of receiving it), we will also refund any initial postage and packing charges, unless you opted for Express Delivery, in which case only the standard postage and packing charges will be refunded. For more information on your right to cancel, please see the Cancellation Right – Cooling Off Period section in our Terms and Conditions.

@Elsabet oh that's good! It was only £4.20, but having paid delivery too it seems a bit annoying that I'm over £7 out of pocket with nothing to show for it!
