Recommend me a barrel-waver or similar please

I've bought a few different gadgets over the years on my neverending quest for loose, beachy waves. I've tried a curling wand and the Wylera Dream wave and both resulted in me looking like Shirley Temple... I want waves not ringlets! I've tried using GHD's but it's a massive faff, takes me ages, never looks quite right and the waves drop out after about an hour.

Am now considering a barrel waver type tool but there are so many! A quick search on Amazon revealed about three or four different Babyliss ones, a Toni and Guy one and loads of brands I'd never heard of. Can anyone recommend one for me please? My hair is currently just past my shoulders but I'm growing it so would like something I can use now and will still be effective once it's longer.

Thanks Smile

Highly recommend the Dyson air wrap

I’ve had the Toni and Guy Deep Barrel Waver for a couple of years now and love it, wouldn’t be without it.
I have thick hair which previously would always fall straight when styled but with these the waves stay until I next wash it.

I also bought the T&G travel ones (for a holiday we didn’t end up going on last year) as I wanted some dual voltage ones but I returned them because the result was more of a crimp than a wave.

I've got the Toni and Guy deep barrel waver, too and I really rate it. It definitely gives you waves. I've only tried it horizontally but now I'm wondering if I can do something vertically as I love the beach look.

It's on offer on Amazon atm, too.

I have heard really good things about the Dyson airwrap but I don't think my budget will stretch to it.

Those recommending the Toni and Guy one, do you think this would be ok on shoulder length hair or is it designed more for long hair? The barrels look really big.

I’ve used mine on shoulder length hair and long and it works brilliantly on both.
