Can anyone tell me how the sizing comes up, please? Thanks! 😊

I think it's true to size to slightly roomy.

Depends on the style and your shape. I have 4 of them, 2 suede and 2 leather, all in a size 14 apart from the bales which is a 12.

I'm a 34G so I need room across my chest!

They stretch too with wear...

I bought a Dalby (one of their most popular and classic styles) in the Black Friday sales. Wasn’t sure about sizing - I normally wear a size 10, but thought it could run small, so got a 10 and a 12 with the idea of returning one.
I kept the 10. Both would have been ok, but the 10 was a more fitted, feminine look whereas the 12 was slightly longer in the sleeve, a more relaxed fit, which I didn’t like as much (more like you’ve borrowed your boyfriend’s jacket.) I thought about how and when I was likely to wear the jacket - i.e. with just a T-shirt, with a thin sweater, with a thicker jumper, etc. The 12 zipped up without a problem whereas the 10 strained over my chest a bit (I’m a 32DD) but I don’t actually like the look of the jacket done up, and reasoned that since I’d always wear it open, with a scarf for warmth if needed, the 10 was better.
Basically - I’d recommend ordering two sizes if you can and see what you prefer. They’ve got 60 day returns because of Covid, and free returns. Going for a normal size shouldn’t be a problem, but it depends on what you plan to wear it with, what kind of fit you prefer, etc., so it’s good to play around!

I'm an 8-10, more like a 10 at the moment most likely and bought a size 10 All Saints cargo biker jacket in the Black Friday sales- The 10 fits really nicely- I thought I might be pushing it with an 8, it probably would have been ok but with a biker jacket I'd rather it be slightly roomy that too tight and it's a good fit.

I just brought my first allsaints leather jacket, the vela from John Lewis I love it, I already have the m& S biker style one, this one is biker style without so many zips, I ordered 10 and twelve and kept the 10, my normal size, I like a fitted style, I don't ever zip it up with a dd bust it would be to tight, i never wear it done up anyway, most allsaints jackets are half price in john lewis at the moment not many sizes left so be quick.

Like Sarabon I also bought a Dalby in the Black Friday sales. I had previously tried it on in the shop and had advice from the sales assistant. He said that if you want to wear a jumper/hoody underneath then size up, but if not, then looks better to size down. I’m a size 12 but bought a size 10. It’s very fitted, although not skin tight, but this is the look I wanted as I’ll wear it over skirts and T-shirts mainly. The size 12 was more roomy but looked too big on the shoulders.

Beachlovingirl · 11/01/2021 21:17

I have a size 10 cargo and it stretched so my next one the bales I bought an 8. All good but it is really tight under my arms when driving and kind of cuts off the circulation a bit, and I don’t wear it hardly at all.

evilharpy · 11/01/2021 22:23

I'm usually a 10, pushing a 12 now due to lockdown gain (sigh). I bought a Cargo in the Black Friday sale, went for a 10 and it's fine, I reckon I could have got away with an 8 even at my current size. I can wear the 10 over a jumper, the arms are snug but not at all tight or uncomfortable, just not loose.

I have another older style that I forget the name of in a 12 and it's really far too big although I can't seem to part with it.

FirmlyRooted · 11/01/2021 23:27

I'm a 12 and settled for a 12 cargo. It's not too tight and not too big, I could have gone for a 10 if I planned to only wear a tshirt under but this is England and I get cold so wanted room for a jumper too

Ninkanink · 11/01/2021 23:28

They will stretch by at least one size, if not two. I always size down.

peachgreen · 11/01/2021 23:30

Go in and get fitted (when we can again!). They are amazing and will know by the way the back lies what size you should get. I went in with a friend who is usually a 12-14 and they put her in an 8 and the difference it made was huge, it looked SO much nicer. They stretch with wear too so when you first put it on it should feel uncomfortable.

MadameSapphire · 12/01/2021 02:30

Oh, thanks so much - lots of advice here but it does seem quite mixed! Interested in the sizing down concept, I wouldn’t have done that, so thank you!

Realise that the best plan would be to go into the store, but want to buy online and soon (due to sale!)...

I think they do vary quite a bit as well. I went into a store and tried on a few different ones - this was before the lockdown weight gain and I was a comfortable 10. Some styles I was ok in a 10 (stretch notwithstanding), some I definitely needed to size down to an 8. There were none where I would have needed to size up though.
