Shampoo & conditioner in one recommendations

Hi, my shower has just broken so I will be washing my hair using the bath taps until
a) I can afford to fix and
b) until I feel comfortable having someone in my house (there is a workaround solution so it's not an essential repair).

Can anyone recommend a two in one shampoo/conditioner (have tried cowashing and it's definitely not for me)? I have longish fine but dry/coarse hair.

Any tried and tested recommendations would be much appreciated. Hopefully I won't have to resort to this for too long!

Thanks in advance x

Sorry, that was a lot longer than intended. Blush

I like the Head and Shoulders one in emergencies, or for travel. Not sure they are good for your hair or scalp but needs must!

I use Davines shampoo and their spray All in one milk as a conditioner

MoreMorelos · 10/01/2021 16:34

2in1s don't work, use shampoo and a leave in conditioner

ILoveShula · 10/01/2021 16:45

Put conditioner om your dry hair and comb it through. Rinse then shampoo. Rinse. Dry.

2-in-1 is ok but not as good.

I love L'Oréal kids 2in1, have been using it for years and my hairs in great condition despite generally mistreating it with hair dye. Also the sweet almond and cherry one smells like Bakewell tart 😁

Thanks all, I wasn't expecting any replies (this is the first thread I have actually started).

@Melange99 thanks for the recommendation!

@whattodo2019 - thank you, I have not come across Davines before!

@MoreMorelos - that's my main concern but I have never found a leave in conditioner that doesn't leave my hair crispy. I do have some hair oil that might work instead though...

@ILoveShula that would definitely give me crispy hairShock it's far too fine!

@HalfShrunkMoreToGo that sounds gorgeous!

Thank you all.

I like the Aussie one, I have fine hair and it doesn't feel awful afterwards

When I was a student Wash and Go ruled the world. It was pretty much the only shampoo anyone used, there were walls of it in every shop.

Then they found out it made your hair fall out or something and we all ran away screaming BUT it made your hair amazing.

For a short term fix I'd use Wash and Go, although they've probably removed the active ingredients anyway so it won't make your hair fall out and it also won't make it impossibly fresh and shiny.

I always use 2 in 1 and I get lots of compliments about my hair.

My favourite is Dove.

ILoveShula · 11/01/2021 12:58

@MorrisZapp, 'Take two bottles into the shower?'

I think it got branded as making your hair fall out because in somme language it was branded under a name that suggested it would.

I have used the Aussie 2-in-1 and it was ok, but I have not tried it recently.

MsHedgehog · 11/01/2021 14:37

I only use 2 in 1 when I don't have time to use a separate conditioner. The one I use is Head and Shoulders, the pink one. I've actually had compliments when I use it.

SingingSands · 11/01/2021 14:39

I use Head and Shoulders 2-in-1 all the time as everything else either irritates my scalp or leaves my hair greasy after a few hours.
