Bra help needed

I am size 12 but 36DD bra size, I currently wear M and S underwired bras but they are too tight around the band and boobs are bursting out at the front, I can't get a bra fitting appointment atm so have tried a couple of online measuring tools, One said I was 40C, the other 38E. I sent away for Triumph non wired bras in both these sizes but neither fitted.
Any suggestions for a reliable bra sizing tool or suggestions of what size might be correct for me?
TIA

If you are size 12 you wouldn't normally be a 36 more like a 32-34. Try boob or bust x

If you're a size 12 you're much more likely to be a 34 inch band - have you measured.

Your boobs are exploding out because your cup size is WAY too small abd so your boobs are likely pushing the band away from your chest. You need to go up in cup sizes.

Go to www.booborbust.com for measuring advice

I was fitted by Rigby and Peller by eye as 34G and wear 14/16 tops .
My figure was totally transformed by wearing the correct size .

Just out of interest afterwards I tried the Boob or Bust system and it came out as the same . It is very reliable OP .

Another one saying try boob or bust

RaraRachael · 10/01/2021 08:25

Thanks. I'll give Boob or Bust a try later, It's really getting me down as I have developed backache so tried not wearing a bra for a couple of days which was awful . In desperation I sent away for a couple of bra top things in a size 14 from Next and they kept riding up. Grrrrrrr. The perils of big boobs Grin

The biggest I've been is a size 12 pushing to a 14 and I've never exceeded 34inch waistband, I would definitely try 34 with a bigger bust, E or even F.

Veterinari · 10/01/2021 08:48

Try boob or bust and put your measurements in. I gained a bit of weight recently and went from a 34DD to a 34G Shock
All my weight goes on my chest

Pour Moi are really good too

I find M&S a difficult fit for me, either the band is too tight or the cup is too big. Next is the best for for me, l'm 32FF.

As the others say it’s the classic mistake; band size way too big and cup size too small. I was measured as 36C by Marks years ago and spent years wearing the wrong size. Rigby and Peller and Prima Donna bras changed my life. Go and get fitted when you can. I’m not a huge Bravissimo fan as their fitting is not as accurate and their bras aren’t great for really big cup sizes.
