My skin is dry during the winter months, I exfoliate, use serum and moisturiser but feeling my skin needs something extra like a facial oil, does anyone recommend a good one?

I don't often need an oil, despite being ancient, but when I do I use this Balance Me Otto Face Oil. They have 15% off orders at the moment too.

Recently started using the wishful rosehip oil. I really like it.

Skinfulnappies46 · 09/01/2021 19:22

I second the Balance Me rose Otto oil. Absorbs easily and feels calming. The smell is not overpowering like many rose products. Skins feels soft the next morning. It is light enough to use in the morning too.

I use coconut oil. Its lovely.

I use rosehip or squalane. Both by the ordinary so really good value.

Decleor oils are beautiful, also strangely aveda shampure which my daughter got in a Birchbox. The latter appears to be multi use and it smells heavenly.

I use Dad'i Oil as my moisturiser, lovely and light, easily absorbed and smells beautiful. I'm 50 and although my skin has always been good the young 'uns at work express disbelief at my ancientness!

I use an oil cleanser and that's helped with dryness

Lamentations · 09/01/2021 19:40

I always return to Clarins blue orchid oil.

DianaT1969 · 09/01/2021 19:43

I use The Ordinary Marula Oil.
Started with Rosehip, but found it smelly and switched. Marula has no smell.

AvoidingRealHumans · 09/01/2021 19:51

I've been using garnier hemp oil for a few weeks and its lovely, highly recommend.

StartupRepair · 09/01/2021 19:56

Kiehl's midnight recovery is expensive but lovely.

Laissonslesjoliesfemmes · 09/01/2021 19:57

Has anyone tried the Beuti Sleep Oil? I'm tempted. I use rosehip normally.

regularbutpanickingabit · 09/01/2021 19:57

Another one for the Clarins blue orchid oil. It’s lovely and gives instant relief.

fandangofandango · 09/01/2021 20:01

Another vote for Clarins Blue Orchid! I've repurchased several times which is rare for me!!

TuxedoPantherSheHer · 09/01/2021 20:02

Dr Alkaitis Elixir

snowdropstime · 09/01/2021 20:35

Clarins Blue Orchid or Nuxe are my favourites.
I tried Superfacialist which was nice but I hated the smell.

BeaLola · 09/01/2021 20:37

dementedma · 09/01/2021 20:39

`I use Facetheory balancing Rosehip oil

BecauseOfTheRain · 09/01/2021 20:39

I have been really impressed with Disciple facial oils - my skin looks noticeably better after using them (a day and night oil)

treeslets · 09/01/2021 20:39

I use Superdrug vitamin E oil, I've tried more expensive ones but don't find them any better personally.

seensome · 09/01/2021 20:43

Thank you, plenty of recommendations much appreciated.

Depends on your skin type.

Rosehip is fine for skin showing the first signs of ageing

I like Neal's Yard Rose, and NY Frankincense. My skin is dryish and I'm over 50

I also really rate the Body Shop oils of life and Liz Earle Superskin serum, which like the Kiehl's mentioned above, is an oil-serum rather than just an oil.

I've never tried any of the Clarins ones but they are highly rated.

Argan oil stinks to glory but is pretty amazing stuff.
