Hairdressing advice

I usually have my hair highlighted an it’s quite blonde now. But due to lockdown I now have about an inch of roots coming through. I used a home bleaching kit (after doing a patch test and a stand test underneath to make sure the colour you be ok etc) to put some highlights round the front (usually wear my hair in a pony tail) and the highlights look fine and blended well. However I would like to complete the rest of my hair now I know I can do it without frying the life out my hair or turning it bright orange. Could I paint the bleach on the rest like a full head bleach as opposed to highlights providing I stick to the previous timings etc?

Bleach will go over the previously bleached bits and it's very likely to over process and destroy your hair. I wouldn't recommend doing this

What do the hair dressers do when they use foils and take the bleach down to the ends every time so going over the already bleached bits without damaging it? I really don’t want to fry my hair.

They pick out as best they can bits that aren't coloured. Or as they run it down the foil they avoid the bleached bits as much as possible. The effect on condition will be very different to them doing that and to you doing a full head bleach.
