I bought the cherry almond shampoo and conditioner set with a body lotion for £19.60. It smells a bit like the old Vidal Sassoon shampoo we all loved in the 80’s.

They’ve got a sap moss set, Rosemary mint & shampure.

Thanks! Just worked for me on an order for shampoo. Smile I needed some but was hesitating over LookFantastic and their delivery fee and am glad I waited now.

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/01/2021 17:11

I usually use John Lewis but it’s free postage on aveda & you get samples which usually turn out to be really good so you buy more 😭 which is what they want you to do.

I know, it’s so pricey but I’ve never found anything like it AND it’s cruelty free AND they use recycled plastic.

I was delighted with the samples because I got some of the shampoo and conditioner (the cherry one) I'd been wanting to try for a while but didn't want to get a whole bottle of in case I hated it. Win!
Aveda shampoo is my guilty pleasure as it is so high quality, luckily it lasts a fair while... Grin

CeibaTree · 08/01/2021 17:32

Ooh thank you! I was planning to stock up soon anyway but this is great x

MsRinky · 08/01/2021 18:03

Ooh, thank you, have just stocked up.

BlueSussex · 08/01/2021 18:19

Thanks!

DD (23) has been losing her hair since losing a lot of weight quickly so I ordered her a good conditioner and an alternative as a sample. Free delivery too Grin

I daren't get into the cherry and almond - I loved the VS one back in the day. Does it really smell similar? So tempting.......

MassDebate · 08/01/2021 18:21

Thanks - I love the cherry almond!

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/01/2021 18:23

Similar but with added cherry coke scent is the best way I can describe it.

I didn't strictly need it, but it is lovely and I'm not sorry!Grin

500BusStops · 08/01/2021 22:11

Thank you for this! I got the Shampure set which I've been wanting to try for ages Smile

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 08/01/2021 22:29

Thank you. I got a gift set for dd and hand cream for me.

AliciafromGalicia · 09/01/2021 04:27

Does it really make your hair look any different to all the shampoos you can buy in Boots and supermarkets?

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/01/2021 08:24

Yes. It is unfortunately effective. I say unfortunately because it’s so bloody expensive.

It lasts though, I bought a smooth control glossing straightener which was £20 as a heat protecter & it lasted a good 5 years using it every other day.

Probably not, it doesn't have magical ingredients (wish it did!) but what I do find when using an expensive shampoo/conditioner rather than a cheap one, it helps my box colour last longer. The scent is lovely too and sulfate(?) content is low so less stripping of colour and I find they nourish more. In the old days (BC-before child) I used to use Philip B and that was up to £40 for a shampoo! Mad really and for me, I couldn't tell the added benefit of a £40 shampoo vs a £10 or £15 one.
DuckyMcDuck · 09/01/2021 10:13

Any recommendations please for fine hair to add volume but not weigh it down?

Shampoo, conditioner, serum, anything really?!

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/01/2021 10:18

I’ve had 5 years off using it and my hair did suffer. Then covid came and I had to wash my hair daily after work & that just finished me off combined with no hair cut since jan 2020.

So I’m back on it & it is improved. I’ll be going to an aveda salon when it’s safe again and I’ll be paying for a deep conditioner treatment while I’m there too.

I've just bought a set plus curl stuff....I've got curly hair which is suffering so much from the cold and not having a proper cut in months...hoping it helps! Really can't afford it, but a little treat for teaching from home and managing 2 primary kids by myself...
I got a code, not sure if it's any use, you get a product worth £9 but do do I.

And then I was in M&S and there was an aveda gift box with a 4 travel size items reduced to £10

scrivette · 09/01/2021 23:25

Thank you, I have just got some cleanser to go with the moisturising cream I am using, it's really lovely.

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/01/2021 23:33

The aveda litres are cheap on M&S at the moment too for some reason.

Thanks for this, I've just gone for the Shampure set and the holiday one with protection spray and paddle brush. Both for £34 so am well pleased.
