There's a really good deal on qvc, is it worth a try? I've heard good things but don't know much about it, I cleanse and use serum and moisturiser usually.

The ordinary glycolic acid is cheaper and bigger and just as effective or better

Ponks · 07/01/2021 20:57

I think it's brilliant, especially the Rose Gold version.

Seventytwo · 07/01/2021 21:11

I’ve used it as directed for weeks and have noticed no difference whatsoever!

CalmDownBoris72 · 07/01/2021 21:28

I really like it and find it better than Pixi glow tonic.

shallbe · 07/01/2021 21:31

@Ponks it's the Rose gold one they have on offer atm.

It's one of the best products I've used (and I've used a lot). My skin just looks and feels great when I wake up the next morning. I though that the Ordinary Glycolic acid would do the same thing but it doesn't.

Nitpickpicnic · 07/01/2021 21:34

It’s been fairly magical for me, probably the top of my list of skincare to save up for and repurchase. I thought the rose gold was just a slightly coloured & fragranced version, not different to the original formulation?

TableNiner · 07/01/2021 21:54

It's a good product

Ponks · 07/01/2021 21:55

I thought the Rose Gold was slightly more moisturising, and my skin felt better the next morning. Would go for the offer but trying to use up a lot of my stash of toners etc first.

Belindabelle · 07/01/2021 22:15

I love it. I have used Liquid Gold for 5 years and wouldn’t be without it. I also rate the cleanser. I didn’t notice much difference between the original formula and the rose gold.

Use it as instructed. On its own every other night. If it tingles too much to begin with buffer with some moisturising cream until your skin adjusts to it. Make sure your day cream contains an spf if you go outside.

shallbe · 07/01/2021 22:45

Thanks all, so just to check I cleanse as usual, then use the liquid gold, then serum and moisturiser as normal (i read I can forgo moisturiser if I want it more intense but perhaps not if a beginner)? Or is it cleanse and liquid gold only?

Is it applied with a cotton pad like a toner?

OP posts:
Belindabelle · 07/01/2021 23:01

I cleanse and Liquid Gold only. No serum or moisturiser. Do this every second night. On the other night I cleanse, tone, use serum or oil then moisturise. You are correct to use a moisturiser over the LG if you find it too strong to begin with.

Yes just apply with a cotton wool pad like a toner

shallbe · 07/01/2021 23:12

Thank you, I've ordered it and can't wait to try!

Yes I love Alpha H liquid gold and have used it for years. I use it once a month now . I used to use it a couple of times a week but my skin is now where I want it to be. I also use Paula's Choice BHA 2% skin perfecting lotion. I use that once a week or more if my skin has a funny day.

BlueSussex · 08/01/2021 18:33

I tried it but can't honestly say I was over impressed.

lindyloo57 · 08/01/2021 20:31

I have it , its great been using it for two years , always get it when on offer with qvc.

SandysMam · 08/01/2021 20:33

What is it supposed to do?

MrsWindass · 08/01/2021 20:48
@Ponks it's the Rose gold one they have on offer atm.
I have this and love it . Used the previous one too . Tried The Ordinary but it didn't feel right or do anything. I also use their Beauty Sleep Power peel . Got the Rose lip plumper too . It was only when I stopped using it for a while that i realised how awful my skin was.

Housewife2010 · 08/01/2021 22:22

I use it once a week. The first time you use it it is a good idea to apply it with damp cotton wool, then add moisturiser. If you have no problems then don't bother to dampen the cotton wool after that. Once I knew my skin tolerated it I didn't apply anything over it for optimum results.

Apileofballyhoo · 08/01/2021 22:29

Get a good sunscreen, OP.

letsmakethetea · 09/01/2021 09:31

Hello, I got some last year and used about 1/4 of the bottle but didn't think it did anything for me. I can post the rest to you if you want to try it? Sorry, I know that might be a really weird offer but it's just sitting in the cupboard doing nothing! PM me your address if you are interested and ignore me if that's too strange Grin

shallbe · 09/01/2021 09:44

@letsmakethetea oh that is so kind of you, thank you for the offer. I've ordered the QVC pack so I'm ok thank you Smile

Cleanse then Liquid gold and that's it. Nothing else after that.
