Nuface mini vs foreo bear mini

I had thought this was the year I might have ventured into botox and/or light filler. But with lockdowns I'm thinking of a microcurrent device instead.
I mainly have loss of volume in my cheeks, and slight slackness in my jawline from weightless.
I'm getting normal aging around the eyes and my forehead is pretty lined and I have hooded eyes

I doubt it could do anything for my forehead but if it could maybe add back some fullness to my cheeks and lift my eyes a bit id be happy

I know you have to use them every day and I am happy with that commitment. So it won't put me off. I also know it is a subtle difference. I also have a good skincare routine already so think I'm doing as much as I can at home. Plus I am bored Grin

Does anyone have any experience with the nuface mini or the foreo bear mini?

Looking at them the foreo seems nicer to use but seems to be marketed at a younger crowd. I'm 40. Is it purely marketing or is it not as strong as the nuface which seems to be promoted to the older age range?

I'm looking at the minis as the price tag is a bit £££ but will listen if enough people tell me the proper ones are better for good enough reasons.
Thanks.

I have the full size Foreo Bear for approx two weeks now and really like it and am happy with results which I would describe as akin to looking like you had a really good facial. I wouldn't recommend the mini, it's just for targeted areas as opposed to the entire face. The full size Bear is stronger than Nuface (mini and trinity) and you need to use it for a far shorter amount of time (which was the main selling point for me). I believe the Nuface mini is for the entire face. The Foreo also has t sonic vibrations, not sure what their purpose is but it feels nice and that means I'm good at using it consistently, it's very soothing and relaxing without that I'm not sure I'd persist.

However, I would say the effect is only superficial. Yes, it 'trains' deeper muscles and that expansion makes skin look tauter and somewhat fuller and will minimise very fine lines to some degree as a result. Overall stimulation will give some glow and some lift, but it's nothing substantive, it'll disappear as soon as you stop using it. But I appreciate the temporary boost and I'm bored with my regular skincare routine (which is effective but dull) but it's not an overnight miracle worker with lasting results. It's just an extra.

There's more chatter on it on the fantastic skincare thread as I've inadvertently got other people to buy it Blush

I've got a mini. It's expensive, but was a worthwhile investment. It has made a difference with a consistent routine. When you get to a certain point with your results, you can use it less frequently. But it will give your face a more lifted look.

I have the mini and I love it! As mentioned you have to be consistent. I have definitely seen a difference.

I had the mini and sent it back - made no difference whatsoever and I was RELIGIOUS.

I haven't used the full size Foreo Bear religiously but I think it improves general condition. I deliberated getting the mini Foreo but advice seemed to be that the large can do all that the mini does and more (and is more powerful). It can possibly do under eye area but someone else will know more.

I've heard nu face mini is good for under eye area but have no personal experience. I researched them all and plumped for the bear.

Same, I've used mine for over a year and my jowls are no better. Useless.

You're all saying mini. But mini what?!

phoebeb19 · 25/04/2022 13:41

I have the bear mini and I've had great results with daily use, specifically my jawline. I even use it twice on weekends. It was definitely a great gift to receive and at this point I mainly use it for maintaining the results I've achieved from past use. However, if I were you I'd get the full size one because I'm a bit younger than you and the reason why I got really good results could be a combination of my age and that I didn't need the microcurrent to be as strong.
