What's your go-to fake tan?

I was just about to order Skinny Tan mousse - never used it before - but then I saw some really mixed reviews when I searched the product name.

What tan do you use?

Skinny tan. It’s great.

Margaritawithlime · 05/01/2021 21:25

Isle of paradise. Have the water and the drops. I love it

Fake bake dark or Coco & Eve

Isle of Paradise drops (medium). You just add between 3-12 drops to your usual moisturizer. I used it three days a week (2 drops).

lozjay · 05/01/2021 22:26

Bondi sands dark mousse

Tempnamelady · 05/01/2021 22:28

Bondi sands all the way OP

Brieminewine · 05/01/2021 22:48

I’ve just got the bondi sands oil spray and love it!

trumpisaflump · 05/01/2021 22:53

I've got the Skinny tan mousse and find it rubbish. It doesn't really change the colour of my legs or arms and fades in about a day. I love the Bondi Sands oil spray. Goes a really nice colour and fades realistically. Also doesn't dry my skin like most fake tans.

Thisismyusernamefornow · 05/01/2021 23:08

Bondi sands mousse

Australian Glow and St Tropez Express mousses, put on for 3 hours then shower off and it develops overnight so no need to lay around in manky sticky tan for ages. They fade evenly with no tiger bread skin effect and my skin feels hydrated after. I prefer the colour to the Australian Glow one, the ST is a slightly yellow and I already have a warm skin tone. Bondi sands is my 3rd choice following these, I like the dry oil spray. Their express mousse isn’t as good as the other two.

I also like Tan-Luxe (liquid you drop into your moisturiser, but much better quality and better end result than isle of paradise).

The brands I have really not liked are skinny tan and isle of paradise, I found both really dry and patchy and made me look like a scaly lizard for days while I tried to rub it off.

Superdrug 10 min tan but I leave it on 30.

Vita Liberata gradual tan.
Palmer's Cocoa Butter with gradual tan.
Clarins drops to add to usual face/ body moisturisers.
All fairly foolproof, and I'm very fair skinned and not too skilled at applying.
