Any suggestions? Trying to look more pulled together despite lockdown number 3. I want to look a little better than I feel atm. Tia xxxx

I use a tinted CC cream, applying it with a foundation brush for a smooth finish, a bit of under eye concealer, some blush, and a quick sweep of mascara after using a curler for just a few seconds. I also use a tinted lip gloss. All in all, it takes me about 3 minutes, and it really does make a huge difference.

ClosedAuraOpenMind · 05/01/2021 19:10

I'm working from home at the moment, so do a quick 'zoom over' before video calls.
a wee bit of foundation - I really like Boots hydraluminous for a light base, then concealer where I need it. then eyebrow pencil, mascara and lipstick - maybelline matte ink ones are really good for staying on and not coming off on a mask. but only five items so quick and easy Smile

LadyOfTheCanyon · 05/01/2021 19:12

Erborian CC cream or similar, concealer dabbed on with finger.

Cream blush, face powder down t zone

Boy Brow or similar swept through brows

Mascara

Lip oil/ gloss/ lipstick

Maximum 4 minutes ( I timed myself the other day to see how much time I could legitimately stay in bed for and still leave the house looking relatively groomed.Grin)

HowOnerous · 05/01/2021 19:17

Moisturising primer (v dry skin), bb cream, a subtle eyeshadow routine involving 3 shades (skin tone base all round, dark towards outer edge, pale towards inner edge.), eyebrow pomade and mascara. It's all about the eyes for me, i just use lip balm for lip.

Took me 15 mins when i was learning but can wazz it all on in 5 now, esp. if laid out on a dressing table.

Coffeepot72 · 05/01/2021 19:20

NARS tinted moisturiser plus concealer
Blusher
Loose powder
Mascara and eyeliner
Lip gloss/balm

Takes 5 mins and makes me look/feel human

MaryLennoxsScowl · 05/01/2021 19:27

Mascara, then tinted moisturiser and possibly concealer if I can be arsed, both applied with fingers. Cloud paint cheek stuff (benetint is similarly easy), also with fingers, and that’s it. If I feel like it, I might add a tiny bit of highlighter. It’s face painting for toddlers.

cherrypiepie · 05/01/2021 19:32

Love my five minute routine- here it is - more like three minutes and omit the touché eclat most days

-Hydraluminous No 7 foundation applied with with a blender and buffed with a light brush
-Touché eclat under eyes
-Revolution brow pencil
-Rimmel waterproof eyeliner on lower waterline
-Benefit roackateur blusher
-Mac extended play mascara

GhostCurry · 05/01/2021 22:07

If you pencil in your eyebrows, OP, I recommend dyeing them instead. Saves time on makeup and looks more natural (pencil can look blocky).

Ditto eyelash curlers. If you can manage it, do a lash lift instead. You can buy kits online these days and do it yourself if you’re in lockdown.

FlyingByTheSeatof · 06/01/2021 07:50

For my I'm in a rush and off to work routine

I cleanse with micellar water
apply Superdrug hydrating serum
day cream with spf
Clarins everlasting foundation
powder
mascara
slick of eyshadow on eyelid
Lipstick
bronzer to define features
blusher if I can be bothered

YorkshireGirl35 · 06/01/2021 08:36

When I’m organised I use a light fake tan on my face every other day. Then I don’t need as much foundation concealer etc and can get away with a bit under my eyes, then blusher mascara eyeliner and draw brows on quick. The tip about getting eyebrows dyed is a good one, I’m allergic otherwise I would do this.

Sasuma · 06/01/2021 09:10

I’m ready in under five minutes, I:

-Mix a couple of drops of Drunk Elephant D Bronzi with sunscreen/moisturiser to give a bit of colour to my skin.
-Glossier Boy Brow to add a bit of structure to my eyebrows.
-Milk Makeup kohl eyeliner on the outer third of my eyes (it has a soft brush end so I can quickly just add a bit of colour and then brush it out to soften)
-Curl eyelashes (don’t use mascara daily)
-Glossier concealer under eyes
-Milk bronzer on cheekbones
-a tiny amount of Glossier cloud paint on cheeks.

Soutiner · 06/01/2021 09:32

Not including apply moisturiser and sunscreen and allowing time to sink in my make up routine is a full face and takes me only a few minutes.

Primer applied with a brush on nose only. Primer applied with fingers under eyes and on eyelids.

Foundation/bb cream applied using a brush. Blend blend blend.

Concealer applied using a brush.

Light dusting of Finishing Powder applied with a brush.

Blusher applied with a brush.

Neutral eyeshadow applied on eyelid and under eyebrow using a brush.

Pencil Eyeliner above top lashes.

Darker Eyeshadow in socket area of eye and under bottom lashes applied with a brush.

Mascara.

I dye my eyebrows to make the look full and when they are near to needing to be done I use an eyebrow pencil.

Another coat of being mascara.

Sometimes I use a lip liner if not I go straight to lipstick.

In the summer months or if I have a tan I add a bronzer to my routine.

NeedCoffeeToSurvive · 06/01/2021 09:36

I generally spend no more than 5 minutes doing my makeup, often less if my toddler isn't grabbing and running off with something from my cosmetics bag.

I like to use the mousse foundations, they're so light but give a really good full coverage that doesn't need to be heavily blended or set with powder, so you can essentially put it on like a moisturiser, then I do a very quick mascara and lip colour, or just tinted balm if I'm being extra quick.
Days where I want to be a bit more made up I'll add some sort of neutral warm coloured eye shadow with a bit of shimmer, again taking no longer than a minute or two.

MrsHugsxx · 06/01/2021 12:29

My make up doesn't take long. I do a full face in just over 5 mins. Not loads of make up but a little bit of everything just to enhance and make me look more awake and put together. I do my foundation, then blusher, eyebrows, lips and mascara.

viccat · 06/01/2021 12:55

Mine takes about 5 minutes.
Foundation (I use my fingers to apply a thin layer)
Translucent matte powder
Eye-brow pencil
Two shades of eye shadow - a taupe all over and darker brown on the outer corners
A light coat of mascara on upper lashes only
Blusher
Lipstick (a natural shade usually like MAC Hug Me)

VanillaAndOrange · 06/01/2021 17:56

Tinted moisturiser, a glowy sort of powder, browny grey eyeliner, mascara, lipstick.

Batteryislow · 12/01/2021 14:25

Thank you for the lovely helpful replies Smile will try do some of these xx

My everyday is just 3 products:
Cream blush applied straight from the tube and rubbed in with fingers (Milk Make Up)
Brow gel (ELF)
Mascara (whatever!)
Takes about 2 mins.

If I’m feeling like my skin needs a boost, I start with BB cream, I mix it in with my spf so doesn’t really take any extra time.

If I know I won’t be wearing a mask but will have video calls, then I might add lipstick.

ginandwineandbaileys · 12/01/2021 15:08

Use a powder foundation, smudged eyeliner, mascara, eyebrow gel, quick dab of cream blush, and a tinted lip balm. Just wet hands through my hair sorts it out, it's waves so just sometimes needs a bit of defrizzing, I admit if my hair is really awful I wear a hat to leave the house - I have quite a collection

doubleshotespresso · 12/01/2021 15:19

Sunscreen tinted type of CC cream i use as a primer
Under eye brightener (Becca but Maybelline brightening eraser is cheaper and does a fab job)
Laura Geller Balance & Brighten Foundation ( my absolute saviour, gives a natural glow/dewy texture , does not sit in lines and stays put)
Daniel Sandler watercolour blush (gives a sheer not heavy wash of colour I need as i am super pale but without looking too "done")
Eyebrow gel
Dot of highlighter under eyebrows and a smudge of CT eyeshadow cream
Mascara
Sometimes dot and blend some Ordinary rosehip oil on my temples and top of cheekbones if I am looking ropey, helps "lift" my skin and make me look more likely to have slept`!
Lanolips tinted lip balm gloss tube
All takes less than 5 minutes and I am usually watsapping or listening to podcasts as I do this...

LaBellina · 12/01/2021 15:23

CC cream
Concealer on nose / cheeks
Mascara
Eyebrow powder
A bit of shiny lipbalm.

Look like myself but more groomed and without blotchy redness and sparse eyebrows. Takes 5 minutes.

Btw I noticed on many elderly ladies who don't bother much with make up that what can make you look instantly look put together is groomed hair, well defined eyebrows, even skintone and some pretty earrings.

timetest · 12/01/2021 15:28

Tinted spf
Lipgloss
Mascara
Benefit brow

Couple of minutes max.

hollieberrie · 12/01/2021 16:32

Primer on nose and in my 11s - I read it as a tip somewhere and it really does help to lessen their appearance
Dust of translucent powder on t zone
Dust of Ambient light powder on cheek bones and brow bones
Tightline with grey pencil
Curl lashes and swoosh mascara
Vaseline on lips
Done. Takes 5 mins

bigbeachedwales · 12/01/2021 17:05

Which cloud paint is everyone using? All the ones I've tried are too bright!

MustardMitt · 12/01/2021 19:09

@LadyOfTheCanyon

Erborian CC cream or similar, concealer dabbed on with finger.

Cream blush, face powder down t zone

Boy Brow or similar swept through brows

Mascara

Lip oil/ gloss/ lipstick

Maximum 4 minutes ( I timed myself the other day to see how much time I could legitimately stay in bed for and still leave the house looking relatively groomed.Grin)

This is basically me too!

Erborian BB cream is better than the CC cream for me, as the CC cream is a ‘self adjusting’ one and my rosacea confuses it.

I bought an eyelash perm kit on Amazon and used it on Christmas Eve - having perma-curled lashes makes me feel more put together.

I like the Daniel Sandler watercolour blush better than the Cloud Paint if I’m honest - Gentle is the perfect natural colour for me.
