I have a big collection and none quite fit the bill yet. Ideally comfortable, slight compression, phone pocket and tie waist or non slip. And not boring black!

And not sure I can really stretch to Sweaty Betty prices!

I have exactly the same requirements as you and would normally never stretch to sweaty Betty, but I was given some for Christmas and I LOVE them!

Stumpedasatree · 04/01/2021 13:23

@StrawberryPi which ones do you have?

OP posts:
NewYearTypicalMe · 04/01/2021 13:25

I get mine from sturdy by design, love them

Billingsbe · 04/01/2021 13:27

I have an amazing pair from Asda. With all of that but they are black, I think they had pink too. I’ve tried loads of others and nothing compares!

StrawberryPi · 04/01/2021 13:27

These ones:

They are super comfy, nice and supportive over the tummy, not one but TWO pockets Grin and a cute but subtle design (that glows when I'm running in the dark and cars pass!)

StrawberryPi · 04/01/2021 13:29

Hmmm not sure that link worked. They are the "Power Reflective Gym Legging" in "grey reflective geo print".

Thedot90 · 04/01/2021 13:29

Get some sweaty Betty on the sale and wear/wash them for a year plus - they are 100% worth the money and you won’t regret it! Also they usually have the coloured/patterned ones in the sale x

Timeandtune · 04/01/2021 13:31

I have a great pair from Contra. They donate their profits to Park Run. Good weight and fit .

KatharinaRosalie · 04/01/2021 13:41

Check those. I always needed tie waistbands with any other brand, which were always then digging in. But those do not move. Several models have big pockets as well, like the pocket and shape2. And so comfortable! barasportswear.com/

Thighdentitycrisis · 04/01/2021 13:57

I have a pair with outdraw string from
Marika that have washed constantly for over a year - try TK max
Just ordered from M &S a different one to try, but I don’t mind black

ShopoholicIn · 04/01/2021 13:58

I have bought from decathalon in the past n liked their running leggings. Have 2 pockets for mobile and keys which i really need.

Hoviscats · 04/01/2021 14:09

Honestly the sweaty betty ones are so far superior to any I have had before. I have the Powers and also some zero gravity ones which are lighter weight. Both are great.

I would say better to have one pair that get washed multiple times a week but keep their shape etc and do a fab job than have multiple pairs of not so good ones!

I now keep an eye out for the sales and any discount codes. I managed to get a half price pair of powers just before Xmas but only because I was on the early access list I think because I had signed up to the newsletter etc. Sales stock goes fast!

emsiewill · 04/01/2021 14:14

I have two pairs from Fabletics. They are compression (but not too much) and have a large pocket on each leg. High waisted, no tie, but stay up really well. I have plain colours, but there is lots of choice.

Of course you have to be careful and make sure you unsubscribe as soon as you've had the introductory offer (was £24 for 2 pairs when I joined - definitely worth it). They do let you leave online now as well - I understand you used to have to call them, but Covid means they have changed this (finally, something good about Covid!)

Aworldofmyown · 04/01/2021 14:17

Sweaty Betty I'm afraid. The three pairs I've gradually bought over the past 5 years have outlived all others.

ceeveebee · 04/01/2021 14:17

I usually have sweaty Betty which are amazing - but I also have a pair from H&M and I can’t really tell the difference, they fit and stay up really well.

ceeveebee · 04/01/2021 14:18

Not this design but this style

If I want compression 2XU or Skins are good for me. Well worth the money and you can always find them in a sale rather than pay full price. I run pretty high mileage weekly and they last for a very long time.

LauraPalmerViolet · 04/01/2021 14:22

Sturdy By Design, I have three pairs, two normal and one fleece lined and love them! Wash and dry brilliantly, high tie waist and really lovely patterns. Great for running.

DeadCertain · 04/01/2021 14:22

Oh, forgot phone pocket; they don't have that - but this belt is brilliant to overcome that www.salomon.com/en-gb/shop-emea/product/pulse-belt.html#color=10390. Doesn't budge.

Happymum12345 · 04/01/2021 16:12

These are very good leggings and actually stay up. I find my fabletics ones fall down. I also love sweaty Betty but these are more reasonably priced. Great reviews too.
