Is it worth spending money on slippers?

And if so, what do you recommend? I usually buy several pairs a year, cheap ones from Asda/Primark/Amazon, wherever is most convenient at the time, replacing them when they start falling apart, which is usually after a couple of months. And now I'm at home more, they're getting worn more, and wearing out quicker. Wondering whether spending more would be better in the long run. What I want: soft, not too frumpy looking, slippers that are clearly slippers and not shoes, and that don't fall apart. What I don't want: open toe, frumpy, stiff soles, feeling like I'm wearing shoes.

Any recommendations? Let's keep budget flexible at the moment. Thank you!

Morland or Lambland sheepskin slippers. Then pretend Crocs in the summer.

I always buy good quality sheepskin slippers/bootees with a thick sole for wearing on cold stone floors & occasionally popping out to the bin. Keep my feet toasty warm without sweating, unlike faux fur & man made fibres which can get really stinky.
I will spend up to £80 however they do last for years, I’ve recently replaced a pair bought from Drapers of Glastonbury that I’d had for I think 7+ years.

Haflinger - absolutely brilliant. I have the felt ones and the sheepskin ones and they are superb. They have cork and rubber soles that are perfect if you have plantar fasciitis.

I also have some bear paw (like Uggs) but I find them awkward for wearing when up and about, so they only get used when I’m sitting and working.

Adding another vote for sheepskin here. On a freezing, dark morning, they are so comforting
