Coat for dp that isn't awful? (Man)

Never asked for menswear on here before. When I met dp few years ago I made it clear there would be a lot of dog walking. He was thrilled but his coat stash wasn't up to the job. Off her went a bought a lovely black showerproof parka which looked great until after 6 months bits fell off it (river island).

Can you recommend a decent coat under £100 that looks nice and is dog walking suitable? Needs to be bum covering for horrendous weather.

I got DH a nice one from Uniqlo

For that sort of coat I'd take a look at Mountain Warehouse or similar. Not high fashion obviously but completely inoffensive and would keep him warm and dry.

Would second Uniqlo, really warm coats. Me and DH had ours for 3 years now and wear them each winter. Or you could look at Arket, also nice but might be slightly over £100.

I think you’re better off spending a bit more and getting a proper outdoor brand that will last a few years and is built for the elements rather than something from a “ fashion “ store. The outdoor shops have their sales now so there are deals to be found. This one is over budget but is an example of what you could get.

Take a look at Lands end... their parkas are lovely, and last for years with lots of pockets for dog bags, treats, leads, balls etc too! They are pricey, but there’s a sale on at the mo, and frequently they have 50% off type codes available too.

Try Regatta or Trespass

Craghoppers, Trespass or Superdry. Barbour or Berghaus do a great variety but some need layers underneath. They tend to be more expensive but if you value Goretex (waterproof and breathable) you have to pay for it. If not, a decent parka works well and MandS are surprisingly good.
