I am looking to purchase from LK bennet for the first time, I am put off though by the returns policy it states they have a return fee dependent on the method used but doesn't give any more information. Does anybody have experience of this? And could tell me the costs they put on it?

Is that not just for Sale items rather than full price items? Although its strange they don't detail what the fees are

This is a new policy. I just returned an item today and had to pay £4.95 to take my return to a DPD collection point. To have it collected from home costs £6.95. I don’t plan to purchase from them again. I had not realised the policy had changed and I have two more orders coming (one being a new size for what I am returning). If my next two orders need returning, I will have spent £30.00 total on shipping costs both ways. Furthermore, if you’re ordering from abroad, they won’t refund any import duties. Unless you are very used to their sizing (in this case the shoes were much bigger than usual), then you’re probably safe but there isn’t the option of exchanging so you could save £5.00 additional shipping by ordering two sizes and paying one return fee. I guess they expect a lot of online purchases to be returned.

Not LK Bennett but I fell down this trap with White company today too took my parcel to the post office and was expected to pay for their prices you would think they could give a free returns option.

@MoetCat don't suppose you paid PayPal? I found out that they will refund your postage to you 12 times a year might be worth a look if so.

Companies can legally charge you for returns (but should state upfront what it will cost). However, if you ask for a refund they MUST refund the delivery charge as well as the cost of the goods. A surprising number of companies don’t do this and they are breaking the law. Details here: www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/2016/03/revealed-13-major-stores-web-return-rights-are-wrong/
