School uniform advice

Ok - put current covid crap aside for one min...
My DS starts school in September. His school require him to wear at least one piece of uniform with the logo on so either a polo/jumper or both. They can wear a shirt or polo but have to wear a tie with both.

So my questions
What would you choose and why?
What's an iron?
What would stain less?
Ease of washing?

A polo would be easier for him to dress after PE I know but if he has a shirt then so be it

With a polo I'm thinking I could get the logos on them and then my girls could wear them - he has twin sisters 2 years below him. Also less chance of them getting lost, like jumpers as he won't be taking them off. Shirts are so smart though and traditional. The girls will be wearing pinafores and gingham dresses/jumpsuits when they go to school so might have to wear polos anyway. The same would apply to cardigans, easier to loose. Do polos collect dirt though??

Just a bit of advice please, my friends are all doing their own thing and that's fine but I just want an outsiders view and hopefully a more experienced lot may be here Grin
