I'm making one this year. Things I may not be able to afford for a long while, but for which I'm willing to save.

If you have one, what is on it please? I'm trying this approach instead of buying fast fashion etc.

Following with interest.
I would really like to buy myself some nice classical diamond studs.

Purplecatshopaholic · 03/01/2021 15:39

Vivienne Westwood pirate boots. Going to treat myself at some point. Doesn’t seem worth it just now when we are barely leaving the house, or going anywhere!

TeaSpillage · 03/01/2021 15:42

I'm after some flat lace up shoes. Probably brogues. I need something I can wear anywhere and used to have some beautiful brogues, but they fell to pieces. So I'm prepared to spend a bit more this time.

I am also after a camel coat and a scarf which goes with everything.

Yes
A lovely watch
Diamond studs
Some new cashmere
Also trying to stay focused rather than succumbing to yet more tops and dresses...

Time40 · 03/01/2021 15:51

Yes, but it's full of things that I've dreamed up myself, but which don't exist, or things from books about vintage fashion.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/01/2021 16:01

Mine is very similar to previous years, but I'm still looking for the 'perfect' version of:
*black fitted turtleneck jumper - I don't want 100% cashmere and I don't want acrylic, but am really struggling to find exactly what I want

  • as above but in a slouchy, longer version *black or grey jumper dress, or both
  • new black skinnies
  • a black cashmere scarf or snood
  • a black leather pencil skirt
  • a black midi length jersey dress, with a full skirt

Would people mind sharing links to diamond studs they are looking at? Also on my list but not sure where to start.

LaBellina · 04/01/2021 10:17

A Burberry trench coat
New Todd's loafers
A Frederique Constant moonphase watch
A Bottega Veneta handbag

If only I could win the lottery Envy

I want a really nice leather belt - I like the Gucci snaffle but at £500 I want to lose half a stone before I bite the bullet.

Always after lovely knitwear especially now I’m working from home and my house never feels as warm as my office.

For diamond studs I always buy antique. So much more for your money and I love an old European cut.

Loving your lists!

Black leather jacket
Silk cocktail dress: www.brownsfashion.com/uk/shopping/victoria-beckham-draped-high-neck-midi-dress-15584613
Brogues
Timberlands
Long boots
Jumper dress
Crisp white shirt

Miserableminge · 04/01/2021 11:22

Maria Tash diamond Huggies x 2
Manolo blahnik BB heels
LV Neverfull in Noir epi leather

These items have been on my dream list since the start of last year, doubt I’ll ever get a chance to treat myself to them, I managed to saved for a desperately needed new kitchen over lockdown, and I’m going to hand in my notice in work this month and try and start my own business, so I won’t have much disposable income as of next month.

Does anyone knows any alternatives for cheaper dainty yellow gold earrings?

Purplecatshopaholic · 04/01/2021 11:22

Loving that cocktail dress @Faith50 - would be nice to be able to actually go somewhere to wear it wouldn’t it - I keep looking longingly at my naice clothes and wonder when i will wear them again!

JMAngel1 · 04/01/2021 17:03

Wow 1300 for a dress! Holy moly.
It looks nice but not that nice Grin

I would like-

A second All Saints leather biker jacket- I have the cargo which I love- would like another style too, possible with faux fur and a detachable gilet.

A classic leather handbag, probably in black. I do like Bayswater's but would maybe like something a bit different, I like the Alexa too. Doesn't have to be Mulberry, I just like how lots of their bags are quite classic.

Another wool coat, I have a lovely tailored charcoal grey military coat from monsoon, bought in the sale about 4 years ago and it still looks perfect. Not designer but really well made and a perfect smart coat that I have worn a lot for work. I'd like another so I have more options. Possibly a checked one.

Some brown suede platform boots, I've seen a pair from Gucci that are an exact replica of some boots Stevie Nicks wore in the late 70s and they are perfect! I don't think I'll be able to buy Gucci ones though 😂

I also need lots of nicer spring/summer clothes. I have a really good range of autumn/winter/early spring things, especially coats/boots/jeans and jumpers, as well as dresses. But for spring/summer, I have virtually nothing, and nothing smart for when we go back to the office. My style leans a bit more to boho so in summer could easily look a complete scruff and definitely don't want or need corporate clothes for work.

TeaSpillage · 04/01/2021 18:10

I've been busy over Christmas, whittling down my wardrobe to Things I Actually Wear. It occurred to me that my naicest garments are things I can't wear day to day and that I really should be investing more in basics. But then maybe, they wouldn't be so naice, as they get destroyed.
