How do you use them?
Can they be used in the shower with usual soap or shower gel?

Best to have a soak in the bath with these I've found. Also wash first as if you have any body lotion/cream residue they won't work so well.

I don't think you're supposed to use them with soap or shower gel, just on wet skin, and you're meant to soak yourself in water for a good while before scrubbing, so bath is best. I wash myself, then lie in the bath for a good 20 mins before scrubbing.

First time I used it was amazing - so much skin came off. Hasn't really done much since then tbh. I guess I've not gone back to having the amount of dead skin I had before I first used it (I didn't do any kind of exfoliation before).

Helloyouthere · 03/01/2021 12:15

I do mine in the bath as dont have a shower so wouldn't know on the shower sorry but you ideally need to soak for 20mins and then get scrubbing without soap, shower gel x

DietrichandDiMaggio · 03/01/2021 12:34

I use in the shower. I just shower as normal, so clean body with shower gel, wash hair etc. letting water run over me, but not soaking as such, and then use the cloths and it works fine.

I use mine with Sanctuary salt scrub the night before I go out. My skin always feels incredibly smooth when I use them.

RacheyCat · 03/01/2021 13:24

I just use mine with soap or shower gel.

When I lived in Korea back in 2005 we'd go to the public bath house and you could pay to have a lady wearing just her knickers to scrub you all over with one of those cloths while you lay naked on a massage table. When she'd finished, she'd pour a small carton of strawberry milkshake over you. Then you'd shower off and go back to soaking in the communal baths with all the other naked women.

I tried them after a long soak in the bath and they made no discernible difference to my skin, I don't normally exfoliate regularly so it was a bit disappointing. Maybe it was because of the bubble bath, I should try again sometime.

I need no encouragement to go out and buy things mentioned on Style and Beauty threads Grin

Good God. Are you sure this wasn't a dream?
RacheyCat · 04/01/2021 15:16

Absolutely not a dream. I always thought of the milkshake bit as a kind of cut-price Cleopatra experience.
