Cut, colour and toner - how much

TheRealBoswell · 02/01/2021 15:46

How much would it usually cost to get a hair cut and colour the hair and use toner? I’ve been quoted £216 but I don’t know if that is normal?

Seems a lot. Mine is normally around the £100 mark

@Jasquers Wow. That sounds good. It’s my first time colouring my hair. Apparently the price is for the ombré effect? Is the £100 for one colour or for any? I don’t want to be overcharged but I also want to get it done properly.

It's for highlights and toner.

Vitaminsss · 02/01/2021 20:47

Normal for a good salon with a decent stylist carrying it out!

I have paid anywhere between £150-£220 for this. However the £150 appointment was wayyy cheaper than what I expected to pay, the stylist gave me a discount so it should have cost more

Some salons charge separately for a blow dry

Vitaminsss · 02/01/2021 20:47

I’m in London

Sexnotgender · 02/01/2021 20:48

1/2 head highlights with olaplex and cut, £130.

Chambored · 02/01/2021 20:50

That’s about what I pay for half-head of highlights, cut, toner and blow dry.
I’m in London.
I was last in there about 4 hrs. So I don’t think it’s that’s bad Tbf. And they’re currently charging a bit extra due to Covid distancing / PPE. Plus I love my stylist.

MiddleClassProblem · 02/01/2021 20:51

I pay that in London, full head though

dementedpixie · 02/01/2021 20:53

I pay about £60 for a cut and full head of highlights. Seems crazy expensive to me but I don't live in London (or England)

Russell19 · 02/01/2021 20:54

I just paid £32 for highlights, colour between highlights and a cut and blow dry.

No toner though Wink

Vitaminsss · 02/01/2021 20:58

£32?? Didn’t think a hairdresser could cover their costs at a price that low

Minky37 · 02/01/2021 21:41

Wow a simple cut & blow is more than £32 where I live. Not London or city centre.
DubiousGoals · 02/01/2021 21:59

Full head highlights, root smudge, toner and cut & blow dry costs me £90

MrsMarrio · 02/01/2021 22:02

3/4 foils, toner, cut and blow £135

Poppyolive90 · 02/01/2021 22:03

£216 sounds fine if I’m south east or another major city. I pay around £175 at the moment for half head but no blow dry (not sure if yours does include?). Have paid significantly more at higher end salons though

itsmschanandlerbong · 02/01/2021 22:04

For a full head of highlights cut and style I would be around £100. That's in Scotland.

Letsgomary · 02/01/2021 22:05

Full head Balayage lights, toner, root colour, olaplex and cut and blow dry costs me £115 in Yorkshire.

NemosPoorlyFinn · 02/01/2021 22:06

I pay £70 for all that and I have A LOT of hair (to my bum)

hartof · 02/01/2021 22:12

£60 for my hairdresser in Manchester.

Rollergirl11 · 02/01/2021 22:15

I usually pay around £170 for half-head highlights, toner, cut & blow dry. That’s in London.

She is a mobile....but I do realise how cheap it is. Last time she also cut my toddlers hair and didn't charge!
100Roses · 02/01/2021 22:21

Half-head highlights, colour on the rest of the roots, toner, cut, blow dry and straightened £35
As above but full highlights £45

Oh I see! Thank you, that does make sense. I’ve double checked and it does include wash and blow dry as well. It’s my first time getting a professional haircut so I wanted to double check if it was normal or not. Thanks for your input everyone.
