Does anyone wear Ugg boots anymore?

I'm having a big clear out and am throwing out some Ugg boots. I didn't wear them often so they're pretty much like new. Now I'm wondering if I should keep them for if DD grows into them or if she wouldn't be seen dead in them.
I don't like waste and chucking something away that cost over £200 doesn't sit well with me.

I have a pair of the ‘traditional’ ones that I bought years ago in Oz but barely wore. Now I am working full time from home they are an absolute revelation and saving me a fortune on heating!

I wear Ugg type boots (not branded ones) round the house - which is all the time right now!

BangingOn · 02/01/2021 14:47

I wear mine as slippers, we live in a draughty old cottage and I need the warmth in the winter.

Glera · 02/01/2021 14:49

I still love mine. Had them for around 11 years and as much as I don't live in them, I still think there is a place for them on cold days!

Theredjellybean · 02/01/2021 14:51

I got new ones for Christmas.. After stealing dds... Love them.

SayWhaaaaatt · 02/01/2021 15:14

Got the knitted ones off EBay second hand for £50 about 5 years ago. Loved them for a year, discovered how impractical they are with British weather and now I wear them as slippers. The best slippers ever obviously! Glad I didn't waste £200 on them though. They do seem to have a limitless life though!

Never out of the house. Ever. But they are all I wear at the moment, whilst WFH. Those, plus silk thermals and thin cashmere socks mean I don’t have to have the heating on full whack.

EveryoneRevealsThemselves · 02/01/2021 15:27

I still LOVE my uggs. Super easy and comfortable to wear.

Madbengalmum · 02/01/2021 15:31

I slip them on in winter when i am going to the post office/shop etc. The actual slippers are wonderful too, they last ages.

LadyOfTheFlowers · 02/01/2021 15:35

I have these ones with an Aztec pattern down the back and a moulded treaded sole. I wear them to the corner shop or school run but mostly at home as slippers. I am always cold and couldn't give a monkey's what's fashionable or not as long as I'm warm Grin

LadyOfTheFlowers · 02/01/2021 15:35

They are tall but currently folded down for ease of pulling on and off

DorisDaisyMay · 02/01/2021 15:42

I have had mine 10 years and I love them as much as the first day!

samandpoppysmummy · 02/01/2021 20:44

I have just bought my fifth pair of the classic tall chestnut boots. Each pair has lasted me three years and I keep the most recent old pair for walking in wet or muddy conditions and the new ones just for dry weather. When I'm not at work, I rarely wear anything else except Uggs on my feet between September and April. I don't care if they are in or out of fashion. In the summer months I live in sparkly flip flops instead :)

Maybe83 · 02/01/2021 20:47

I have taken mine back out this winter and had forgotten how much I love them. I dont really care if they are not fashionable..so warm and comfortable which suits my mood now.

PandemicPalava · 02/01/2021 21:09

I wear some waterproof fur lines boots from La Redoute which look like Uggs but are a welly. Game changer!

PrimalLass · 02/01/2021 21:19

@Bluntness100

If they are the ubiquitous ones we all associate with the brand they are slippers and not for outside use, unless popping to the bin or something.

They do a great range of outdoor ones though.

They are sold as outside boots so that's a ridiculous thing to say.
PrimalLass · 02/01/2021 21:22

I wear mine wherever I like. I live in a coastal village not Paris so don't need to be the height of fashion.
