Midi skirts and tights

Sorry I know this has been talked about before but a search gave me nothing. Im trying to get away from usual uniform dressing of skinnies and have seen several midi skirts in sales I like the look of.
All the models have bare legs and I cant quite picture them with tights - and if they do look ok with tights then I reckon its gotta be boots and not trainers??
I'm nearly 50 ffs I really should have this stuff sorted by now!!

Brogues, knee boots, ankle boots (lace up, side zip or pull-on). I wear any of these with tights & midi skirts. If really cold I wear a pair of leggings under the knee boots & skirt.

I like them with fishnets with trainers, or sheer black tights. With opaques, I think it needs to be boots.
