I have been analysed as a bright winter - ingenue natural.
Could any one give me make up colour recommendations to buy on line.
I would am trying to buy make up not tested on animals
I have let my appearance go and I am trying to make an effort
Bright winter and ingenue natural is a bit hard combination but I know it is right.
The colours look good on me and the recommendations feel right but really hard to buy
I have bought so much on line and returned
Help is very much needed - a good friend has even commented I need to make a bit of an effort

I hope this is helpful.

I would imagine a grey shadow and a red or ink lippy, or is tht too bright?

Actually the fact that you are a bright Winter and then Ingenue natural sounds a bit complicated!

I am sure someone else with better knowledge will be along soon.

Lily83 · 01/01/2021 18:35

Thank you that is helpful.
Definitely the grey eye shadow
The ingenue/natural makes the red lipstick feel too bright atm.
But the pink on the list might work
Bright winter and ingenue/ natural don't seem to go together in any clothes shop

The style seems young, not too flouncy.

Lily83 · 01/01/2021 19:24

Thank you - good ideas
I love green
I am in my 50s
I am not making it easy I know

i'm cool winter, so im not sure i can really help, i'll tell you what works for me.
Im pale but eventually tan very lightly.
brown-grey eyes
darkest brown hair
i'm 40.

daily: i wear a cool tone mid taupe eye shadow with pearl finish.
At lash line, smudged- not a precise line, deeper eye shadow in a brown-red to give my eyes more shape.

Weekend is same eye shadow or a pearl finish warm beige with a deep forest green or navy blue eye shadow smudged into upper lash line.

my daughter is very fair, blue eyes and light brown hair and a light mauve taupe eye shadow looks great.

I’m a bright winter and my favourite low key lipsticks are Mac’s Faux and Really Me.

HedgieHog · 01/01/2021 21:43

Oooh how do you find out what you are?

onwheels · 01/01/2021 21:43

Yes to MAC Faux. its very easy to wear as it's not to bold or obvious. i must wear mine more actually.

I had a house of colour colour and style day.
It really helped me see what suited me but I need to put it into practice
Thank you for all the suggestions - it is really helpful

I will try the light mauve taupe eye shadow.
I have blue eyes and very pale
What was the brand

it was bourjois "little round pot" in mauvie star.

they've stopped selling bourjois in uk!

MAC has a single eyeshadow shade called "satin taupe" its £15 for one. its a mauve taupe but a bit darker. i'd build it up rather than one heavy application

onwheels · 01/01/2021 22:33

MAC eyeshadow in "haux" is a bit more mauve and has a matte finish.

another nice cool light brown taupe from MAC is "Omega".

No other ideas on cheaper brands , MAC is the only brand i find has enough colours that seem to work for very pale people.
