Looking for some good skin care products also Foundation. I'm late 30's very oily t zone that gets very shiny! I wear make up everyday so I need a Decent foundation That doesn't cost the Earth!

Maybe your skin is oily (lots of oil) but dehydrated (lacks water)- i have this too!

Your skin knows it's dehydrated, but it can't produce water, so it keeps doing the only thing it can do; pumping out oil. Once you get the dehydration under control then your skin will be much less oily.

I recommend:

  1. An oil cleanser that doesn't strip the skin
  2. A hydrating toner. I just got a rose water one on special offer in Superdrug for about £2
  3. Layered with a hyaluronic acid to trap water in your skin. Either Superdrug or The Ordinary do versions of this.

Then follow with whatever moisturiser you like. I use The Ordinary Natural Moisturising Factors mixed with a few drops of one of their oils.

After a few weeks your skin will rebalance itself and your make up won't slide right off your face!

The Ordinary silicone primer is good for under foundation too. Good luck! Flowers
