Are you shopping?

Hi all, are you shopping from the sales? If yes, what are some of the best deals you found? There is a lot of sale going on from coats to dresses to shoes and everything. So tempted to buy but not sure when we will go back to normal.

Would love to shop nothing is taking my fancy though.

I did but a pair of shoes in the John Lewis sale - no idea when I'll wear them, since we will be stick in the house for the foreseeable future.
I have a £50 JL voucher but there's nothing I really want clothes/beauty wise. I got lovely perfume and make up for Christmas and my birthday, so nothing is grabbing me. I don't think I can see the point at the moment with everything else being do depressing.

Allispretty · 30/12/2020 22:20

The first year I probably won't nothing appeals fo me at the minute apart from loungewear 🤦🏽‍♀️🤣

Bought myself a Superdry jacket from Very for £53 down from £95. Great for my early morning walks on the hills.

That is all!

My lifestyle is very much home based so its all about knitwear and boots. I'm not investing in a smart wool coat this winter. I am thinking ahead to spring/summer and looking out for shoes.

TheGirlOnTheLanding · 31/12/2020 05:43

I've spent my JL Xmas voucher on a cashmere sweater in the sale, but like a PP didn't see much that took my fancy, so the cash gift I have burning a hole in my pocket I think will wait till I can try things on again.

apoorna · 31/12/2020 10:23

I haven't bought any so far. Might get a lightweight winter coat for my walks

3 items. In normal times, I would have gone into physical shops and spent way more.......

A Toast jacket which I have been lusting after - I only ever buy from the sales because I can't justify paying full price for it.

A wool cardigan from Plumo - same again. I tend to buy one decent piece of winter knitwear in the sales every year and this was it.

Dr Marten school shoes for DD - essential buy so even better at sale price.

I found slimmer pickings this year no doubt because there is so much more demand for online shopping and those who are fortunate enough to have the money are spending it in lieu of spending elsewhere e.g can't go on holidays.

I'm eyeing up quite a lot of summer stuff in the Massimo Dutti sale.

I do keep looking online at Zara, but there's so much of it and it goes on forever and I start to get fatigued.

Eesha · 31/12/2020 11:26

I've looked online but everything is boring and all I'm ever doing is walks outside if that. I bought a couple of knitted dresses from Bonprix but that's a first so I'll have to see the quality.

Rocococo · 31/12/2020 11:26

Yes but mostly stuff to suit my current home working/walking daily with children lifestyle.

No tailoring or dresses. As for smart shoes.. I'm not sure my feet would accept them these days!

I've bought a couple of tops from Zara that i hope will look nice in conference calls.

MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously · 31/12/2020 11:52

I ended up using my JL voucher to buy a pair of wellies. They are nice ones (well, as nice as wellies get) and will be useful if it snows!
