Do wig shops have new year sales?

My wig dithering rumbles on. I still haven't bought my first wig but am ready to make the leap. It has to be online as I'm shielding due to illness. I was about to make an order but I'd feel stupid (and even more depressed) if everything is suddenly reduced in a January sale. Any idea if that happens?

I have five, never been out in one. I'd like to know about sales, though.

Yes they do. Natural Image Wigs are having a sale with 25% to 75% off selected styles. As I have never bought anything from them can’t say what their service is like. Hope this helps.

@Hailtomyteeth i suspect this will be me. My first stage will be wearing them on zoom. Eventually.
@user1494521813 thank you! I think I recognise them from the hundreds of youtube videos I've watched so will have a look now. Xmas Smile

I have never worn a wig but am aware that wearing silk between the wig and your head makes it more comfortable if thats of any help to you.

There is a lady that makes and sells various hats etc online with silk as a lining to make it more comfortable to wear. She was on The Steph Show on Ch4 a few weeks ago where they have a small business section they film outside.

It’s worth hanging on a few days then having a look at both Valentine Wigs and Simply Wigs, they both will have some limited reductions. Not across the site, and not in all colours, but you may see something you like. Also worth signing up for Valentines emails, as they do very regular brand reductions. Remember you will also be entitled to buy without VAT. Iirc, simply wigs just needed me to sign an authorisation for that, Valentines wanted a GP letter.

Re silk caps etc - I’ve never worn anything under a wig, so I’d wait and not give yourself further expense till you see how you get on.

Thanks everyone. I'll get ready to see if there are any reductions. Just signing up to various wig stores now. I'll get the wig and decide if I go for a silk cap (hadn't heard of that, thank you!) or something like a mesh cap or band. Will mention to my gp next time I speak to her.
