Disillusioned with Dr Martens. Alternatives?

I've worn Dr Martens pretty much exclusively since I was 15. In fact, 16 years later, I still have the pair I wore when I was 15- purple, knee high, bloody indestructible.
And here lies the problem. In the last five years I've bought three new pairs- two 8 hole classics and the Flora Chelsea boots. All three pairs have worn through the soles, or the leather has cracked. In the summer I also bought sandals that had to go straight back after the buckle snapped the first time I put them on. Dr Martens are definitely not made they way they used to be- one of the 8 hole pairs were the fabled Made In England variety, bought in the hopes they'd live up to the longevity of my previous pairs.
No. Such. Luck.

So. So I need new boots. Long lasting. Comfortable. Easy for pregnant me to put on so maybe a pull on style rather than a lace up.

Where do I look?

Oh. My. I will never by DMs again.

Thankyou to all that recommended these. They are the most comfortable thing I have ever worn. I'm truly blown away by how well the fit.

Just need those Chelsea boots to come back in stock now.

I sold 6 pairs of DM's on Ebay and the proceeds paid for 2 pairs of my Solovairs.
Can't see me buying DM's again.

I've worn DMs since I was at school in the 80s. I've also become really disappointed with the quality of them. On top of that, they've become too much of a fashion brand for my liking. I recently sold 4 of my pairs to fund a new tattoo. I've been looking at Solovairs and thanks to this thread I'm now convinced. I want to get the Derby boots but can't decide between o blood and cherry red.

I'm so glad I've found this thread - I've never been able to wear DMs as their sizing is just wrong for my feet (even more annoying as I lived near a factory shop back in the 80s) but I'm going to do the measuring thing & hope the Solovair will fit me :) :)

Check out this vegan brand making shoes with innovative materials like old denims or apple waste: https://viron-world.com/
they very comfortable and the quality is worth the price, they have both boots and sneakers :)

I'm thinking about these uk.nps-solovair.com/collections/all/products/s0-900-bk-g?variant=28825672941632 Anybody have them?

I did get them, and I get on well with them.
I eventually got the astronaut boots, but didn't like them so returned them, but I got the Toast Jade boots in burgundy and love them.

I also got the burgundy monkey boots.

I didn't get on with the DM Flora cheleas boots because I needed a half-size, which they didn't do.
