Can anyone recommend me a lovely new dressing gown please? I'm tired of my old fleecy one and I'm thinking about a silky kimono type or similar?

One hundred stars do beautifully patterned ones. I got one for Christmas after petitioning my husband and it is gorgeous.

I've got one from Very Kerry and love it.

I received a lovely cashmere one from the White Company a couple of years ago.
Suggest looking at places that do lovely pyjamas - Desmond and Dempster have been recommended to me.

Joining this to add memories of the Dressing Gown that Got Away. I saw it in the window of a small shop on the Isle of Wight. It was a cotton silk blend with a pattern of antique maps. I still dream about it.

On a more helpful note, op, why not go for an antique kimono. I have one and they're glorious.

Don’t know what they have at the moment but I’ve got some lovely silky ones from Oysho a couple of years or so ago.

Are you sure it wasn't a 100 Stars gown? They sell in small independent shops and have several map prints.

You see I dream of wafting round in a kimono but I need the fleece during winter and then come spring, the sleeves bug the bell out of me and usually end up booking into door handles and trailing in the dish water!

@Housewife2010 I bloody love you - I think it was One Hundred Stars!

It's a pleasure.😉

Following - I need a new one - but live in a very cold house. The hundred stars ones look great but too flimsy for me

I have a 100 Hundred Stars one. They are beautiful and great for warmer weather when you want to look alluring but are sheer and definitely not cosy. For gorgeous soft cosiness I love The White Company's towelling lined hooded velour dressing gowns. I got a new one for Christmas and it is fabulous.

Thank you for all your suggestions everyone. I've had a good look through them all this morning and was toying between an Oysho one and a 100 Stars one. I settled on the 100 stars as it was in the sale and it's a lovely vibrant red.
