Where can I buy some high end hair accessories? My hair has grown really long this year and I'd like to put it up/get it out of my face but all the hair things seem childish, plastic and really cheap. Where can I get a well made barrette etc? Also any suggestions for easy lockdown styles? I'm 44 and currently a sahm of a toddler.

Anthropologie every time! They have an abundance of beautiful headbands, and some nice hair clips too

A good silk scrunchy is must have for me since having much longer hair

I’ve gone back to 90s style velvet scrunchies for now (I am shielding).

Thank you! So I just spent a small fortune on hair things, I figure if they're not what I'm expecting I can return them.

I purchased the Amazon large silk scrunchie and the slip silk scrunchie pack in black. I did not think I would be wearing these again!

I found a ton of leather and wooden barrettes and stick and hoop type hair things on Etsy. Also a nice plain gold curved French clip.

I also found this site and bought a selection of barrettes- I'll see if they are better made when they arrive.

I came on here to recommend the Tegen shop! 😂 I bought from them in lockdown 1 as they sold barettes for fine hair. They seemed good quality and arrived quickly. Not able to use them ATM though as now getting my hair cut shorter than usual due to fear of more lockdowns Grin

I always longed for fancy slides from Moliabal (this sort of thing: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Moliabal-MIlano-Hair-Clasp-Black-Pink-Rose-/174090015231 ) but wasn't prepared to pay the price. If there's a Lovisa shop anywhere near you, they sometimes have very similar slides with 3D flowers for about £6.

@WrinklesShminkles glad to hear you liked them. £25 a clip is fine if they last... not so great if they are the usual quality! Fingers crossed!

The barettes I bought were very similar to one I had from Bond St Fenwicks many years ago. They hold my fine hair well and look quite stylishly French, I like to think Smile
