Bleached hair, dark roots, and going grey

I've been getting it bleached to an ashy blonde, which conveniently covered up the fact greys are sneaking in...but now that I've got my crazy dark roots showing and no hope of getting to a hairdresser anytime soon (tier 4).

Is there anything I can do at home to stop this wreck on my head??

Would you do a semi permanent colour like lilac?

In the short term you could try one of the root retouch sprays. Wilkos are open in tier 4 and have a good selection.

I had the same issue when I had all over blonde. My roots looked awful after 3-4 weeks and I didn't want to get them retouched that often.
I decided to have blonde highlights with a medium brown colour applied at the roots which is then touched up every 6 weeks so I still have mainly the blonde effect but with a gradual fading to brown from the lengths to the roots.

@Ayupmeduck That's what I was planning on doing early December...but my hair stylist had to self-isolate and then tier 4 kicked in Angry

Hm maybe the root spray is the best option for now

I tend to use them when I'm at work or seeing someone. The rest of the time I just plonk a woolly hat on when I leave the house. Thank goodness it's winter Grin
