Walking boots/shoes

I'm looking for a new pair of walking boots, hoping to pick some up in the sales. Are there any brands that you recommend? (I'm clueless, I got my last pair from the middle aisle of Aldi!)

Some multicoloured treads have the contrasting colour glued rather than a full mold. Once had an otherwise lovely pair of miendles which let me down badly climbing down a cliff when parts of the tread broke off. My first check is now always the bottom !

Another vote for Scarpa

Scarpa as well. Had my last pair for ten years and only got rid of them because they were slightly too small post pregnancy. But so comfortable, waterproof, never had blisters. Bought more scarpas after ordering and sending back every other brand (or at least it seemed).
