I think this is only the second time I've posted on here in a decade!

My parents have very kindly gifted me £100 for Christmas and for once I'd like to have a little bit of a splurge as I normally end up spending it on the kids or on household items.

I'm looking at starting the Curly Girl method and having just turned 40 I'd also like to start looking after my skin more (face and body).

I need products that I can continue to buy if I love them so not too high end and available in Boots, supermarkets etc. We are on a tight budget day to day.

Any recommendations for hair and skin would be very welcome. The more products I can get for the money the better!

Well I'm 44, personally I like the Boots No7 protect & perfect spf15 day cream, plus the eye cream & night cream.
They are often on offers such as 3 for 2.

I like the Boots No7 BB cream, also Soap & Glory's One Heck of a Blot primer.

For hair I like the Nexxus range of shampoos & conditioners sold in Boots, they are sulphate free, usually approx £14 a bottle but often on offer too.

I also like to treat myself to the high end brands that my local Boots sells such as Clinique.

Thank you. I like Soap and Glory so will look out for the primer.

I've never used No 7 before
