Is Trinny miracle blur any good?

Keeps popping up on my Facebook feed. Is blooming expensive. Is it worth it or is there something cheaper that’s good/ better?

Cant speak for miracle blur. But I just got a load of other trinny makeup and its...meh. like, nice enough, I'll use it. But its nothing special. The stacking thing is great but the make up itself is just OK.

BigButtons · 26/12/2020 16:59

@LarryUnderwoodhanks- thanks.
I rather suspected as much. Part of me was hoping for some sort of miracle though. Fool that I amHmm

The reviews on Instagram are terrible

doubleshotespresso · 26/12/2020 22:11

I keep hovering over this too, am very weary just on price but also overly intrigued

Pixilicious · 26/12/2020 22:16

Haven’t had miracle blur but the BFF cream and mattifier are nothing to write home about. I wouldn’t buy her products again.

TheoSawUs · 26/12/2020 22:20

I've tried it and it is nothing special

Kdee52 · 26/12/2020 22:26

Very expensive for what it is. I bought a very expensive useless kit and then ended up giving it away (to someone who wanted to try before they buy) because after a few weeks i hated what it looked like on my skin. Dry. Lacklustre. One dimensional. None of the make up is worth it ....unless you really really need a stacker that always fits in your handbag to take everywhere for convenience.

DeRigueurMortis · 26/12/2020 22:38

Don't waste your money.

It's useless.

It's just a thick waxy cream that ruined the finish of my make up whether applied before/after and had no visual impact on wrinkles whatsoever.

BigButtons · 26/12/2020 23:15

Thank you. Sorry for those that wasted their money though Bear

Yeah. I think its probably a good rule of thumb that if its advertised on insta its probs style over substance...I have learned this the hard way

TheVanguardSix · 27/12/2020 00:27

Terrible. It's crumbly and if you can get it on, it just sits there, all heavy and waxy, as another poster described.
Clarins instant smooth is still my favourite. I love Benefit's pore filler for my nose.

Miracle Blur is crap.

BFF, Just A Touch and the under eye concealer serum are fantastic on me, though.

LesLavandes · 27/12/2020 11:01

I like it. It blurs out cracks around my lips.

I am also a big fan of BFF. It gives you a lovely glow.

I wish they would put Bffeye in a tube though as it is too runny for a pot.

I have never tried the eyeshadows.

pinkcattydude · 27/12/2020 11:03

BFF is lovely but miracle blur I’m struggling to see any improvement

bigdecisionstomake · 27/12/2020 11:25

As PPs have said, I find the BFF really good, one of the best BB creams I've ever used. I mix mine with a drop of illuminizer and it makes my skin look fabulous.

The miracle blur however not so much. I've tried it under and over the BFF and occasionally can see a very tiny improvement in the fine lines but I don't think you can really tell if I've put it on or not. I do quite like the waxy texture of it and can see why it should work but the results don't seem to live up to the promise.

I splurged out on a full set of Trinny stuff during lockdown to cheer myself up and apart from the BFF wouldn't repurchase any of it. I find the blushes/lip to cheek/lip products wear off really quickly and need to be reapplied far too frequently to be practical and some of the colours in my 'match to me' were really awful and don't suit me at all.

Mistlewoeandwhine · 27/12/2020 11:27

I use Estée Lauder primer and then Double Wear. They are unbelievably good.

Mistlewoeandwhine · 27/12/2020 11:40

Actually, I’ve been watching Trinny’s videos on Facebook. She looks amazing for nearly 60 but there’s no way that her complete lack of wrinkles comes from using some make up. The reason she can get away with using a little splodge of creamy stuff is precisely because of all the work she’s already had done. I find it a bit disingenuous tbh.

Clarins instant smooth does the same job as does Elf poreless putty.

The best one of that type was the original one by a German beauty brand in QVC who’s name escapes me. It was amazing stuff and lasted all day unlike the above. Then they changed the formula.

BigButtons · 27/12/2020 12:28

I’ll look up the bff- not heard of that one.

M.Asam! I remembered the brand! I think it may have been called perfect teint. I bought lots of it years ago but then couldn’t find it again. Such a shame.

belrig · 28/03/2024 12:53

What is the best foundation or tinted moisturiser for 45 year old (dry) skin. I also have uneven skin tone … I battle to find anything that doesn’t cake or flake.

EvelynBeatrice · 28/03/2024 14:08

I still prefer good old Clarins Beauty Balm to Trinny one
