I had the Rituals one which was nice but not sure I'll buy it again next year (too many shower gels)

That’s the one I had Tanaqui
The Molton Brown one sounds good

LookFantastic - got it for £85 and had fantastic products. Wd definitely buy again

Ghostlyglow · 26/12/2020 17:31

I had the no. 7 and the Amazon one. I've never had one before so it was a bit of a novelty. I'm going to attempt to try all the products and I think I'll be getting one or more next year.

I had the £59 Rituals calendar. It was all very nice; the products were good sizes and I'll use everything, but it didn't have the same feeling as the M & S calendar that I've had in previous years. I've missed the camaraderie of the M & S opening thread each morning through Advent.

madcow88 · 26/12/2020 18:01

My DD had a reeses peanut butter cups advent Callander and my other DD had a Haribo one - both good in my opinion and I would buy again. However I had a celebrations one and it wasn't as good as the others.

percheron67 · 26/12/2020 18:05

I tried Fortnum this year. Shan't buy from them next year. Some mediocre bits included.

dinodiva · 26/12/2020 18:06

I went for ASOS and have been pleasantly surprised - I think I’ll use a fair bit of it. Have always had M&S in the past and have ended up with loads of small forgotten things.

ItsIgginningtolookalotlikeXmas · 26/12/2020 18:07

I enjoyed my Holland and Barrett one.

Spodge · 26/12/2020 18:09

I bought the Elemis one because it contains a lot of items I use anyway, and had I bought all of those separately it would have cost more than the calendar. (Obviously the small travel sizes are a premium price but I like them for taking to the gym in the days when that was allowed.) The other stuff was a mixture of things I wanted to try and things I am happy to use.

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 26/12/2020 18:16

I had Holland and Barrett for the first year and will definitely buy again. It's amazing value, loads of full size products and a really good mix of stuff. I've had M&S for a few years but won't go back to it now. H&B is cheaper and better, IMO. I might be persuaded to buy another one in addition to H&B though, maybe a Rituals one as they looked stunning and I'd prefer body care.
I really think M&S have shot themselves in the foot as everyone has tried other calendars this year and found them better!

ikltownofboothlehem · 26/12/2020 18:25

Bonne Maman preserves one. Definitely getting it again next year.

rc22 · 26/12/2020 18:25

L'occitane. Nice but would probably try something different then come back to it after a couple of years.

HagenDaz · 26/12/2020 18:32

I had the Kiehls one. It was OK but the full size items were for male grooming products Hmm

DD had the Body Shop one, she loved it.

I have had 3 Liberty ones in the past and loved them. Might stay up for 3 weeks next year with my finger on the button for the Selfridges one.

Stickybbqwings · 26/12/2020 18:36

What kind of stuff was in the Holland and Barrett one? I’m imagining healthy snacks but think that might not be it?!

AliceinBunniland · 26/12/2020 18:48

There are unboxings and reviews online showing exactly what was in most of the calendars

FlosCampi · 26/12/2020 18:50

I missed the Marks and Spencer's one and its discussion thread too, like a previous poster. It was always sold out, does anyone know why they discontinued it? Intend to try the Bodyshop one next year, but read the Liberty one very very wistfully Xmas Smile

2021optimist · 26/12/2020 18:56

In the end, I went for the M&S beauty box (£20 with purchases) instead and it taught me that advent calendars are just not me. I've finally got into a skin and hair routine and I just don't use the little samples of other stuff that I get. Shame as I love the idea of them (was v tempted by the Liberty one) but a cheap way to discover it I suppose!

No, all beauty items. Have a look at our Thread here where you can see all the items from this year's calendar
Chlordiazepoxide · 26/12/2020 19:07

Had the jo malone and would defo buy again. I thought it was fab it was Also a good present for my mum who is really hard to buy for, she loved it

Flackattack · 26/12/2020 19:17

Had no 7 / was ok but wouldn’t buy it again - very disappointed with a voucher for a blusher one day! A cheap way of not having to give it out!

Holothane · 26/12/2020 19:22

I’ll save for the Molton brown one I think sounds lovely no eye shadow and stuff I won’t use.

lookdeepintotheparka · 26/12/2020 19:25

It was my second year of the H&B calendar - excellent value and some really lovely products which I'll definitely repurchase Smile

I like that the brands are all ethical, vegan and mostly new to me and I wouldn't discover them without the calendar. I also like the fact it's all affordable enough to buy again although there were a couple of relatively premium products this year which made it even better value for money!

I'm really going to miss opening it each day!

MorrisZapp · 26/12/2020 19:29

I got the Lumene one for second year in a row. Absolutely gorgeous and great value. Includes the full size mascara and skin tint serum that I will use all year.

SoLongFurlough · 26/12/2020 19:39

That’s good to know Hagan as I had been eyeing up the Kiehls one for next year

Honestly, none of the beauty calendars interest me because I’m a beauty junkie that already owns most of what tends to be includedBlush it must be such a fun, special surprise if you’ve never tried the products
