I have no idea how to use it!

Yes I bought it recently after reading good reviews here. There are loads of how-to tutorials on YouTube. I can’t remember which I used but they’re all helpful.
I love the airwrap! Your hair needs to be dampish (not wet) and smaller sections work best I find.

I hoping it'll replace my hairdryer and my big hair so I can use just one thing?

Yes!

It’s brilliant, but takes a b of practice. Your hair must be 80% dry before you use any of the attachments other than the drier, I got that bit wrong, and there are loads of tutorials on YouTube.

It replaced my hair dryer and I rarely have to straighten my hair when I use the brush attachments, it’s fab!

LordEmsworth · 26/12/2020 14:38

Yes. It has replaced my hairdryer. There are loads of tutorials online, or stores that sell it sometimes have a demo stand (e.g. John Lewis Liverpool). I usually use a mix of straightening brush & the volumising round brush, use the curlers occasionally - they do take a bit more practice...

beckyboops · 26/12/2020 14:41

There is a group on Facebook where people post videos, tips etc. very useful.

PhillyJoe · 26/12/2020 14:41

My friend lent me hers and I hate it. The round brush works the best but my Revlon air brush thingy is better. The curls are lovely but fall out of my hair. I've tried all different levels of dampness. Maybe it depends on your hair type. My friend also didn't get on with it which is why she lent it to me.

Hopdathelf · 26/12/2020 14:45

I love all the attachments except the curling barrels. I hate those with a passion.

DoingTheBestICan · 26/12/2020 15:20

Yes, I have had one for Christmas and I used it this morning for the first time - I love it, my thick long hair is all bouncy and soft. It looks like I have had a curly blow dry, did I mention that I love it!

Disorganisedfish · 26/12/2020 15:24

Ooh I was just going to start a thread asking what product to people use with their airwrap as I love the results but can’t make it stay in in my hair. Specifically the curls which seems like a common problem for others.

What do you all use?!

DoingTheBestICan · 26/12/2020 15:30

I just sprayed heat defence through my hair before starting and a spritz of Elnette once finished

Carpetmoffman · 26/12/2020 15:35

Following for tips

KatharinaRosalie · 26/12/2020 18:23

It's odd because it works really well for me, and the style stays until I wash it. My sister tried it, we have the same hair type - and the curls dropped out almost immediately. I have no explanation, we used it the same way.

hartof · 26/12/2020 18:51

I've been using mine for about 3 weeks and I'm still trying different ways to figure out how I like it. There's loads of videos on YouTube showing you what to do with it. The only thing I've found is if I use the barrels with the arrows facing away from my face it curls towards my face? So I use the opposite sides now

Hopdathelf · 26/12/2020 18:51

Does anyone else have this problem? And have they solved it?

When I am curling one piece of hair, other bits get picked up no matter what I do. It’s hard to get a neat set of curls.

hartof · 26/12/2020 18:52

Those struggling to get it to hold a curl have you used the cold setting after each curl?

hartof · 26/12/2020 18:53

Oh another tip I have is to keep a water spray bottle so you can dampen the hair as you go.

NightOwl19 · 26/12/2020 18:58

I got one as a Christmas gift, haven't had the chance to use it yet but hoping to pick up some tips from this thread

TommyKnocker · 26/12/2020 19:06

FleurDeForce has a pretty good YouTube video on how to use it. I've seen so many where they haven't and have moaned about results! For me it's the only hair styler I use now (haven't touched my straighteners since I got it) but I still struggle with it and got better results with my revlon round brush.

I do think it has helped the condition of my hair.

beckyboops · 26/12/2020 22:36

I find that I have to curl it the day after I've washed it, I also use the cold setting after the hot to cool the curls. I keep reading people are having problems with curls not holding, I love mine and my curls last for days and I don't use any products
