Returns in tier 4?

Wondering what to do about a Christmas present that doesn’t fit... and store only returns (says the receipt). Stores won’t be open - can I return online in this situation do you think?

but tier 4 is going to be reevaluated on 30th december,
there must be some leeway i would have thought

Contact their customer service and see if they'll send you returns label, if stores won't be reopening within the return period for the item.

I think stores are extending returns periods, but agree with pp that they should be able to get you a label. I had ordered two sizes of something from John Lewis and made a special trip to return one this week, knowing they might be closed for a long time!

I've got this problem too.
I'm assuming my area will be in Tier 4 for a couple more months Jan & Feb - winter is not going anywhere!
I was hoping to try and exchange when the shops open - if not I'll have to put it in eBay.

In case anyone else is having this problem - apparently you can usually email a copy of your receipt and get a returns label...

I work for next and we will return when we re open . I'm sure other retailers will follow suit . I will be expecting my money back for my returns regardless of wether the stock has gone in the sale and that period has ended . Retailers won't keep their customers if they don't honour this !
