Best makeup products for mid 40 year old

I used chantecaille tinted moisturiser for the first time today having given up on foundation. My skin is very dry. I wore the tinted moisturiser over my regular moisturizer and I'm very happy with the result. My daughter said my skin looks like my normal skin but smooth. Grin
Does anyone any other products: eye shadow/blusher/bronzer/primer/lipstick that they are really happy with for more mature skin?
Thanks.

I think it depends a lot on your skin type. I've recently started following nadine baggot, sali Hughes and Caroline Hirons. They have suggestions for skin care and make up depending on type and budget

ILIA multi stick is a nice blush. So is the Chantecaille gel blusher.

Ohhh how did you know which colour to choose?

I bought bliss. Very happy with it.

I was going to buy alabastar but the sales assistant thought it would be too pale for me. Tried some of both colours on my wrist. Impossible to tell the difference. Smile

i love nars tinted moisturiser and too faced born this way is a pretty light foundation, also the ordinary as itz quite watery and just evens out my ski without looking like i have makeup on

Thanks! Where do we stand on wearing primer and highlighter in your mid 40s? I used highlighter today and look a bit overdone. Is primer helpful at this age? Really lost my mojo makeup wise. I have mac strobe cream and a number 7 primer. No idea how to use either of them.
