Damaged hair, greasy roots and fine. Help

I’ve tried all the shampoo bars and most of the sulphate and silicone free shampoos and all of them leave my hair greasy from day 1.

I’m switching back to silicones when my hair was lovely and soft and clean! I also want it to grow and I’ve stopped bleaching and colouring

Which will be the best shampoo and conditioner for my hair type that I can grab off the shelf?

Thanks mumsnetters

Head and shoulders lemon shampoo
Herbal essence or john frieda or aussie conditionner
Argan oil on ends

Charles Worthington everyday gentle shampoo.
Loreal extraordinary clay conditioner.
Works for me and mine tends towards oil slick roots with bleached and tragic end.
Also I use batisse every night before bed and sometimes use the aveda botanic repair leave in stuff on the very ends (advent calendar treat). I normally find leave in stuff is too greasy.

What’s your budget?

I think initially go for a product for damaged hair, or for coloured hair. Aveda damage recovery or Kerastase reflection/chroma riche are amazing but expensive.

A lot of people rate garnier hair food

Thanks for the advice so far. I can stretch to something a little more expensive if it’s good.

I too use a lot of batiste.
I’ve tried the hair food and I didn’t rate it. Made it oily.

Might have a look into the others. Thanks
