DD has very pale skin and is also prone to the odd spot. Can anyone recommend a foundation that would be suitable for her.

I have similar skin and use Max Factor Lasting Performance in Fair. It's full coverage though which may not be what she wants.

Clinique do nice pale foundations including one for spot prone skin.

DD is 17 and prone to blemishes, she uses Clinique Blemish Control. Because it's not a high street brand joshing for counter space it comes in about 40 shades! DD is pale and iirc uses porcelain.

(I can really recommend buying directly from Clinique- offers, free delivery, good samples- I got a full sized 200ml body cream as my "sample" in the summer!)

ELDW Is best. I would recommend the shade 0N1 .

Nyx Bare with Me in Pale Light is very pale and gives good coverage.

Max Factor's palest colour is also a non-yellow pale (which kills most of them for me) but I don't have it now so can't remember the name. All the formulas seem to carry the same colour.

Lancome Teint Idole is gorgeous but very expensive.

I find Clinique very harsh and get more spots.

Ones I wouldn't bother with: No 7, Revlon. Clarins.

That's amazing thank you so much.

Jane Iredale pressed powder mineral foundation, ivory is very pale. I buy it for my 16yr old daughter as it doesn't oxidize or make her skin worse.

Hi I am pale and spot prone and I use vichy derma blend which is great. My DD 16 who has some spots uses glossier stretch concealer which is good lots of shades and lasts ages. She also uses Paula's choice BHA on problem areas x

The Clinique anti-blemish solutions one is decent. Comes in very light shades. They also do a concealer in the same range that is oddly sticky but does seem to actual help the spot heal as well as cover it.

Bodyshop matte clay foundation has tea tree oil in so is great for spot prone skin

dontgobaconmyheart · 24/12/2020 06:28

What's her skin type OP? Dry? Oily?

I rate Lancome teint idole in 008 (palest shade) and also Nars sheer glow, the shades run very pale but do look at swatches online first as I find some are quite yellow toned. Their radiant creamy concealer is also really nice.

Cheaper ones I would say the no. 7 beautifully matte in calico. If she just has the odd breakout she might be happier with a lighter coverage foundation and a good concealer, like the Nars sheer glow or on a budget Collection creamy concealer which has very good coverage for blemishes.
