Home hair dye disaster?

I've been dying my hair dark brown to hide grey for years without issue. Today I think I may have applied it without shaking the two parts (Nutrisse with stuff in the applicator and a tube to squeeze in). I applied it around my hair line & scalp which felt a bit 'slow' and thick which I put down to low temperature. When I went back 20 mins later to do rest, there was a thick, clearish gel that blocked the nozzle, then seemed quite runny.

It's washed out ok, the ends of my hair look a lot lighter than the roots, how bad can it be? Will it do bad things or just wash out faster? Will I be bald by boxing day? Has anyone else done similar?

I imagine it will be okay. I would have thought if you were going to react it would have been by now.. maybe put another box on in a few days let your scalp settle?
