I look like shit

Frankly, just that.

Met my parents for a walk earlier who thought I looked ill. I'm not, but somewhere along the way this year I've let myself go.

Anyone else in the same boat? Or have any suggestions for a small lockdown friendly boost?

Eyebrows and hair cut will have to wait for a while!

Oh crikey, looking ill is not good what made them think that if it isn't true? I like to think I don't look too bad but I may be deluding myself.

scruffy20 · 20/12/2020 19:26

@Bearnecessity sadly I was wearing no make up so it's just my real face...!

You maybe just looked a little pale. So make sure you eat well!Grin

Apart from that a bit of blusher can work wonders.

I am in the same boat though. I've gained a lot of weight around my middle, my hair is always scraped up in a bun, I wear my glasses all the time and never contact lenses anymore, have worn make up 4 times since March and my clothes don't fit so I live in leggings.

Eyeliner makes the world of difference for some reason, as well as making sure your hair is clean.

Nohomemadecandles · 20/12/2020 19:33

I'm sure you don't .

We're all just perhaps lacking the glow of normality!

If I do my fringe, eyebrows, liner and mascara, I look like a different woman! Or so I think, anyway... Grin

Love parental tact! Maybe try looking after your health instead of looks - one more glass of water, one more vegetable a day, ten minutes of quiet relaxation, that sort of thing. Might make a difference and couldn't hurt.

Isle of paradise tanning drops. Just a few drops mixed in with your normal moisturiser for a slight glow. I normally only use it for holidays but was looking very down recently due to some health issues and found I looked a bit more human with it!

Whack on a little bit of tinted moisturiser and some cream blusher, brush your eyebrows with clear gel. Takes less than a minute and makes a world of difference. Agree that a little bit of gradual tan might help too.

I think we’re so used to seeing many women, in everyday life, very made up. Today the young lady on the til at Sainsbury’s had a full face on, complete with contour and false eyelashes. She looked like she was off on a night out. It was just before 10am.

I like to “do” my face. I look deathly without it.
