Hello there! My sister is moving from Australia to kent, england. She is asking for suggestions about outerwear ( coat/ jacket) and Footwear that needed there. I never been to kent though heard weather is more kind there than North. She is a minimalist, has 2 primary school kids. Will do school run and her course at uni. Apart from her everyday shopping, walking. I tried yo talk to her about my wardrobe, she find it hilarious. Believe me i am a hoarder and rubbush at giving advice. Could you please help her with your suggestion!!

Bumping for you.

Kent is rainy and while not as cold as the North, does get cold. Particularly if she's going to be in a more rural location.

She can get away with just one winter coat if she's not a big on having a lot of stuff, so it'll depend on her style, if she's casual dresser, then a waterproof puffer coat would be good.

If she's more of a smart dresser, then a wool coat and umbrella.

Footwear wise, it does rain a lot, so if she's big on walking in the countryside (and we are tier 4 in the south east, so that's all there is to do right now!) Then she'll need wellies or hiking boots.

Otherwise, swap out trainers for flat boots to avoid wet cold feet.

If you let us know what her style is like, we might be able to find some Instagram fashion types who are South East England based to give her an idea.

Many many thanks @MargosKaftan. She is moving to a city but will do alot of walk as excerise ( she got a condition that doesn't allow other form of exercise).

She is a casual dresser for everyday school run, shopping etc. But for her work and other agreement she is a smart dresser!! She got her party wear/ other outfit /dresses from Australia but like to know what will be needed all year round in footwear and coat/ jacket. As it rain alot and gets muddy...Do you have any suggestions where to shop? And footwear waterproof? How many pair? And how many jacket for all year round. She is basicaly building her wardrobe, capsule I guess, according to kent weather and her lifestyle.

Would be great to know Instagram fashion out there!! Much appreciated your comment!
